10:31 AM ET 02.16 | Browns general manager Ray Farmer, thrust into his new role on Tuesday when CEO Joe Banner and Mike Lombardi were let go in a shocking front office shakeup, already knows which quarterback he'd draft in May -- but he's not telling. When Banner and Lombardi were in charge, it was widely believed that the Browns were high on Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel. Is Farmer as sold on Johnny Football as the previous decision-makers reportedly were? Will Farmer, who has final say over the 53-man roster, change his mind if coach Mike Pettine and offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan prefer a different quarterback?

The game of musical QBs in Cleveland continues.

I miss the Dolphins threads!

The Browns never had a draft pick they didn't want to waste.

Just ask yourself, "What would the Dolphins do"?

About the only correct pick they have made since their return in '99 has been 7x Pro Bowler Joe Thomas.

If you are the Rams setting in the second position of this years draft smiles have to come to your face reading about other teams needs for a QB, and if the Texans do not take Manziel the Rams can ask for the moon for their pick and probably get it.

Maybe. But bradford has had a hard time staying on the field. With the rookie pay scale they can afford to take a QB too. You have to believe they have thought about it.

Josh Gordon, TJ Ward, Joe Haden, and Jordan Cameron are the real deal as well. They do have a group of young players that play the game well.

It was time to flog that dolphin.

the only suspense here is How the browns will screw this up.

Good call on the others you mentioned. They have made so many bad decisions at times I forget about the other decent players they actually have right now.

Well their first mistake was letting that "1,000% Steelers fan" Jimmy Haslam buy the team!

The article title and picture imply Manziel, but that's not what Farmer says or even hints at. The article is a pretty poor one, actually.

You can add Alex Mack too very good center

I figure that Manziel or Bortles will go to the Jags. They aren't tipping their cards. Bortles or Bridgewater to the Browns

February 16, 2014  12:28 PM ET

which qb wants to play for them?

With the draft now in May, expect that to be the norm. Lots of time for gamesmanship among GMs.

Apparently Brian Hoyer.

ok, it's draft day and I'm drafted by the mighty and apparently lost Cleveland Browns, I think I look into signing up with the Peace Corps or something like that. I do know this, I wouldn't want to play for such a dysfunctional and disorganized group. This is not a good time to be a franchise QB and potential #1 pick or first QB picked
