12:34 PM ET 02.17 | Alex Mack is set to be a free agent in March, but the Cleveland Browns seem like a team that is not ready to let the anchor of their offensive line go just yet. According to reports, the Browns are attempting to re-sign their starting center before he hits the open market. In 2014, Mack was named a second-team All-Pro and made the Pro Bowl roster, so new general manager Ray Farmer and head coach Mike Pettine are not willing to let Mack leave easily coming off of the best season of his career. If Mack hits free agency, he will be one of the top players available, so it is crucial for the Browns to lock him up long term before he starts seeing the amount of money he could get on the open market.
