03:54 PM ET 02.17 | The NBA trade deadline is approaching quickly, which means that there will be discussions that could continue to take shape over the next 72 hours. One such deal could be a three-way trade between the Toronto Raptors, New York Knicks and Atlanta Hawks. According to Ian Begley from ESPNNewYork.com, the deal would involve Kyle Lowry going to the Knicks, Jeff Teague going to the Raptors and Iman Shumpert heading to the Hawks. Begley reports that the talks are just in the preliminary stages and haven't advanced yet.

Why would the Knicks give up a guy making no $ over the next 2 years for a rental?

Maybe they feel it is a move that will improve their roster, plus you cant always give the guy you want to, if you feel this move can put you over the top you cant worry about $$

I agree if it were a move to put you over the top......
but do you think kyle lowry is vaulting them even into the same stratosphere as miami and indy? let alone that they could beat either?
no way

From a fan in Toronto...no thank you. Lowry is relatively young, stays healthy, has a chip on his shoulder, plays very good "D", shoots well, passes well. Where the hell else are you going to find that! He used to be a little turnover prone but seems to have remedied that. Seems that when the team is losing he tries to do to much and this becomes a problem. Currently, with DeRozan and Valanciunas he seems to trust his teammates and for the time being things are good...don't touch it! Jeff Teague...Jesus!
