07:02 AM ET 02.18 | Until Monday night, freshman Leyton Hammonds seemed always to restrict his talents to practice. Given opportunities in games, however, Hammonds has often struggled, seemingly losing confidence after a standout high school career in Texas. Now there's hope that Hammonds found a breakthrough moment Monday night, with his buzzer-beating 3-pointer that forced overtime at Baylor, before the Cowboys fell 70-64. "I think that was perfect for him," said Cowboys guard Markel Brown. "He's been playing great in practice. He gets in a game and things haven't been falling for him. To see that shot go in for him, I think he should sleep on that one tonight. I hope it does wonders for him going into these next games, because we could use him big time on offense and defense."
