The worst player in Angels history?

07:34 AM ET 02.19 | Just how badly have things unraveled since Brandon Wood? [Wood] started 2010 as the Angels' third baseman. He was arguably the worst player in franchise history. No Angels hitter with 200 career plate appearances has ever produced a lower OPS than Wood's .455. ... [The team] traded Mike Napoli for Vernon Wells. ... The Angels again missed the playoffs in 2011, again spent the offseason seemingly on tilt, and committed more than $300 million to Pujols and Wilson. Each veteran underperformed in 2012, when the Angels missed the playoffs a third time. That offseason the team signed [Josh Hamilton] for $125 million -- and missed the playoffs again. ... To encapsulate the snowball effect Abe Flores witnessed: The Angels will pay Wells, whom the team has long since discarded, $18.6 million this year.

Angels will pay Wells the amount 18.6 millions and that should be their last payment towards Wells,
and the Marlins are paying him the Amount of 400K this season now how that sounds??

February 19, 2014  12:47 PM ET

the Angels traded Napoli for Wells and his contract, swinged and missed,
the Angels signed Pujols in the end of 2011 season, swinged and missed,
the angels signed CJ Wilson swinged and missed,
the Angels signed Hamilton in the 2013 season, swinged and missed,
in this year 2014 season the halos are going to sign Trout and still will be a swing and miss!!

Angels still haven't been able to rebuilt their rotation, and if they think Skaggs and Santiago are the
solution,halos should think again!!

Garrett Richards is not a secure ## 3 in the rotation,Blantton should be their last resort,
and the two new guys in Skaggs and Santiago aren't a solid #4 and #5 in the rotation,
it means Angels still have alot work to do in their ROTATION!!

February 19, 2014  01:06 PM ET

Angels move Mathis, bad move,
Angels move Napoli bad move,
Angels move Trumbo bad move,
Angels signed Rodney back in the past bad move,
traded away Walden for Hanson another terrible bad move,
traded a good prospect for Greinke another bad move,,,

February 19, 2014  01:08 PM ET

Angels had not done anything right not even once,i won't be surprised IF the team trade Trout in the near future!!

Not really.
CJ Wilson was a good signing (17-7 3.39 era last year.)
Mathis was a great dump (Scioscia would have kept him behind the plate with a sub .200 avg.)
Rodney was awful as an Angel, I was fine letting him go.
Trumbo, I was sad to see him go, but his OBP is sub .300.
Walden/Hanson- who cares?

Now, Pujols/Hamilton, I will takle a wait and see approach with them. They are incredibly talented, if they are healthy and play anywhere near their capabilities, the Angels are a playoff team.

They're going to lose him to the Yankees eventually, when he hits free agency in a few years time.

Injuries are part of the game, that's why the roster is 25 players and not 9. As a team the Angels fell flat on their face to a young inexpensive team in Oakland, who also had injuries!
