Appling's stunning breakthrough

07:39 AM ET 02.19 | So much for the doom and gloom Tom Izzo inadvertently stirred up earlier this week: Keith Appling drove to class Tuesday. "I was able to drive with my right hand," Appling said. "So at that point I knew I was getting over the hump a little bit. And then when I got to the gym, I was able to shoot and do some things with my right hand." And by the afternoon, the Michigan State senior point guard was in the middle of it all. ... [Izzo] suggested the possibility of having to sit Appling out for the rest of the regular season to get his injured right wrist as healthy as possible for the postseason. The next day, Appling made it clear that's not happening. "I have five Big Ten games left in my final go-round as a Spartan," he said, "and I plan on playing in all five of them."

Get healthy kid, they need you at point. Plus Aaron Craft wants to see you in C-bus March 9th when the Bux win the B1G outright.

Love your optimism, BB, but that scenario ain't likely with the Bucks in the middle of the conference pack right now. I'm just hoping for a good showing by tOSU in the B1G tourney.

Gentlemen, Tennessee's men's hoops team is 16-10, with 5 games left, all against other SEC teams. At 7-6 in the conference, they are tenuously sitting in 5th place, several layers of atmosphere below conference leaders, 12-0 UF and 10-3 UK (best of the West, Ol' Miss has the exact same record as the Vols, lost to the Vols, and is ranked 4th because... They've scored more points?).

So, the Buckeyes are 7-6 in conference play, but they are 20-6 overall and ranked. The B'ball Bucks are movin' to the groovin', and just when it hit me somebody turned around and shouted, "Shoot that orange round thing, Buckeye! Hear that net swish, tonight! Shoot that orange round thing, Buckeye! Lay up the b'ball, make basket after basket til you die! Til you die-ie!"

We are 20-6 but with home games against NW, Minny and Sparty and road games against Ped St and Indiana we should go at least 3-2 and if the ball bounces right 5-0.

We have made the dance question will be seeding.
