07:47 AM ET 02.19 | Even his NHL team has cashed in on T.J. Oshie's shootout win over Russia. [The Blues] marketing peeps have come up with a "74 Hour Sale," in which fans get a commemorative shootout poster and Oshie jersey with the purchase of a ticket package. If the USA advances [Wednesday] and goes on to gold-medal glory, the Oshie Games will have long-lasting sizzle. Barring an individual performance more spectacular in the next few days, Oshie promises to be the marketing face of a 2014 hockey gold medal. His celebrity status will know no bounds. ... Shortly after Saturday's game, ESPN business analyst Darren Rovell tweeted his opinion to that end, "TJ Oshie's marketing value will only substantially increase post-games if the US wins gold."

Lots of hockey left. Might just have to be "sick" on Friday. <cough, cough...>

Well, looks like my dire outlook for the Russians is coming to fruition. 3-1 with less than 10 left in the 3rd.

Yep. Ovie and Malkin and Co. better get on a plane right after before they find themselves on permanent vacay in Siberia.

Just goes to show how far a step back Russian hockey has taken, and I blame the KHL for a huge part of it.

Well, how much you want to bet the NHLers take the blame there though?

Kiitos! Kiitos! Kiitos Finland! Kiitos for sending the Russians packing! That means Datsyuk will escape further injury and have a few more days of rest before returning to Detroit. I wonder if he will be enough to get us to the playoffs without Big Z?

Vladimir will not be putin up with this loss, I bet he wishes he had ripped off his shirt and laced up himself in the 3rd period to save the day.

So happy to see old men like Teemu Selane, Kimmo Timonen and, hell, yes! even Olli Jokinen lead the young Finns to victory.
