07:29 AM ET 02.21 | The Lakers didn't exactly tip over the apple cart, though the move they made has apparently angered star Kobe Bryant. A day after the Lakers shipped Steve Blake to the Golden State Warriors for a pair of reserve guards in Kent Bazemore and MarShon Brooks -- saving them $4 million in salary and luxury tax implications in the process -- Bryant took to Twitter to offer his disapproval. "@kobebryant: Not cool with @SteveBlake5 being gone AT ALL One of my closest teammates and psycho competitor GS picked up gem #smartmove" ... In the nearly four seasons that Bryant and Blake were teammates after the point guard came to L.A. as a free agent in the summer of 2010, Bryant often lauded Blake for his tough-nosed approach to the game, even bestowing him with the nickname "Vino Bianco."

Lord this man needs to learn not EVERYTHING is about him.....In his warped mind i'm sure he thinks they would be a 2 or 3 seed with that team, with those players, with that coach, and that ownership.....Lord good luck with him the next two years....

Please, never again compare Kobe to Michael Jordan. It's just no comparison.

Dear Kobe:

a) Steve Blake is not a "gem"...he's a below average PG in this league...I know you have a big head but someone simply being your friend doesn't automatically make them a better basketball player.

b) You're not a GM (despite the fact that you and your GM currently play almost the same number of games each season)...you're not smart enough to be a GM. There are many considerations to take into account other than someone being your buddy.

Honestly, I'm not a fan but I respect what you've done. You've been an amazing player for a long time. Now stop being a disruption and monumental pain in the ****!

A lot have to be done with the Lakers current roster in order for the team to improve and mature into an elite team again. In order for the team to begin on that track to win an NBA Finals championship it must bring in new and different players in order to find that mix the team can build upon. Needless to say, Kobe may not be with the team when it find its winning way again. Of course, Kobe has to voice his opinion when it comes to the players he has played with over the Lakers championship runs, its not fair to only express your support for one player (Gasol) and not express support for players like (Blake). Bazemore and Marshon can be assets if given the chance to be a part of something instead of warming the bench. I feel like Bazemore did not get an opportunity in Golden State and neither did Marshon, however, Marshon did show a glimpse of what he could do in New Jersey when given a chance. The Lakers are in a rebuild mood and Kobe won't be a part of the next championship run moving forward. That contract that Kobe signed, the Lakers gave him recently was his last with the Lakers and a very considered thank you gesture for the wins over the years.

I think everyone who has been on this site knows my irrational Steve Blake hate....
So clearly I really disagree with Kobe...
And I get Kobe wanting to show some love for his teammate.
But saying 'not cool'.....I mean really.....
It is a huge slap in the face to his organization

Even LAD must acknowledge that Kobe is wrong in this on 2 ends....
First that he believes Blake is any good....
Secondly in that you could say sorry to see him go....
But to voice displeasure like that?
Not good

We're a mess no doubt and there isn't anything the Lakers can do to make things better for a while.

But I do agree, this is disrespectful to the Lakers organization.

Don't Speak, Bro.

Kobe and management are not on the same page. Management are trying hard to get the top pick. Kobe thinks they can still make the playoffs.

Did he just call Steve blake a gem? In what reality?

Resigning Kobe will go down as one of the top 10 biggest mistakes. It will take years for the Lakers to recover.

Ghetto Lady and her son Gayg will not like this at all. Their god Kobe just went on a tweeter rant. Blinders I say! Prolly smh and my goodness!

Maybe Jimmy Buss should ask for Kobe's permission before the team considers a trade.

I'm sure its just him not being able to accept how far they've fallen. In his whole career with one team, LA has always been in mix, and Kobe is trying hard not to be in the mindset of a loser as the front office has already done. He's not used to it that's all.

They gave Kobe a retirement package and purposely made him the highest paid so they can say we pay you highest your the best. Now Kobe I am sure makes plenty of money for the Lakers but why extend him before getting back on the court. I am not sure Kobe will finish the second year of that deal though.
