07:33 AM ET 02.21 | Go figure: John Calipari disagrees with Rick Pitino. The University of Kentucky basketball coach appeared on ESPN Radio's "Mike & Mike" show Thursday morning and fielded a question about recent comments by Louisville coach Pitino and Michigan State's Tom Izzo bemoaning the existence of social media sites such as Twitter. "First of all, this is no disrespect -- the coaches you mentioned, I respect them all -- they know nothing about social media. Nothing. They don't do it. They feel it's another job," said Calipari, the most popular college coach on Twitter. ... "You cannot be defined, if you're on social media, by somebody else. You will define yourself. And if it's negative, that's your fault. But here's who you are."

Must be a slow news day. Two greasy guys in the headlines again.

Oh and shut your pie hole Cal.

Of course Calipari will defend Twitter because he uses it as a tool to circumvent the NCAA's rules regarding player contact.

QUOTE:

Pitino's comments were taken out of context - his comments were in regards to racial slurs targeting players through social media. Of course, Cal, self-proclaimed guru of social media and athletes, just read the hashtag and had to make fool of himself... enough said.

Racial slurs and social media...it never happens!
