07:37 AM ET 02.21 | Often when the Predators practice, GM David Poile can be found watching from the stands. As the team held its morning skate before a Feb. 6 game at Minnesota, however, Poile was in the bench area. An errant puck struck him in the face. The injuries required three surgeries. Poile emerged on Thursday to make his first public comments since the harrowing incident and revealed he currently can't see out of his right eye -- which was covered with a patch as he spoke to reporters at Bridgestone Arena -- and doctors are unsure if he will regain sight in that eye. "I fractured my nose in three different places. The orbital bone was broken above and below the eye. They have taken the stitches out and done a fabulous job there," Poile said. "The downside at this point is the right eye.

Tough break for David. I hope he recovers. But ... why does it have to happen to a nice guy like Poile? Why doesn't it happen to ... Jerry Jones during a Cowboys game? :-(

Well ... he doesn't mind the 'hard' part in the face but, he doesn't care for it frozen.
