Of course it is. The fans and media of other NBA teams (the Lakers) are taking about it all the time until you have a new deal. Want to end it? Just opt in for the last part of your deal.

It worked for Dwight Howard in Orlando. He opt in and the fans gave him a standing ovation at the very next home game. Oh wait a second. After doing that, Dwight still fooled around with the fan and still wanted a trade. Never mind.

Yeah, using Howard as a model raises serious questions.

What Laker fan would not want to discuss the notion of having Love on the team? It would be fantastic!

He is gone. The NBA apprentice league, consisting of all but about 6 teams where players WANT to play, will send another player up. Minny, Cleveland, Milwaukee, Orlando, etc only get to keep the players nobody wants.

Don't be so melodramatic. A few years ago you would've included Indiana in that sentence. Now they're arguably the best team in the East.
