09:10 AM ET 02.22 | Los Angeles Dodgers manager Don Mattingly acknowledged the team has some concerns about Yasiel Puig's conditioning. Mattingly said Puig showed up at camp weighing 251 pounds, 26 more than he weighed at the end of the regular season. Puig, who is a muscular 6-foot-3, was 235 pounds at the beginning of last spring. The Dodgers are hoping Puig can lose some weight before the start of the season on March 22 in Australia. "We don't feel it's going to be a problem, but we're paying attention to it, put it that way," Mattingly told ESPNLosAngeles.com.

If you really want to send this kid a message, send him to AAA until he's in the shape you want to see him in. Having a surplus of OF's gives you that luxury.

Too many pasteles this off season.

So much for having too many outfielders.

OK, you heard it here first. Yasiel Puig will miss a good portion of the season due to constant injuries. He will become the new H. Muelens.

Kid is obviously a throwback. He really enjoyed the off season and he will use Spring training to play himself back into shape. If he really wants to jump in the way back machine, he will use Scotch and speed to assist in his training regimen.

Times are tough and certain sacrifices had to be made around here. Unfortunately, they chose the proofreader as the one who had to go.
