09:12 AM ET 02.22 | Hope that Kobe Bryant will be able to play before the end of the season took another hit Friday when the Lakers said the superstar is still experiencing swelling and soreness in his left knee. Bryant was examined Friday by a team physician, and will be reevaluated in three more weeks, the Lakers said. There are 27 games remaining, and it's unclear if Bryant could return before the end of the regular season April 16. He has appeared in only six games this season, missing the first month and a half because of a torn Achilles' tendon. He has not played since Dec. 17, when he fractured the lateral tibial plateau in his left knee.

Bye-bye Kobe!

Kobe needs to just relax and aim at next year. Nothing good can come from rushing back.

I guess those PED's are finally catching up with him.....

Not like we need him right now. If he could be a good business man, then I hope he becomes GM for the Lakers...

too bad for the laker organization/
but that is what they chose to do

Seems this is an excuse for not coming back this season. Sounds good to me since this team is doing a fine job tanking and Dumbtoni out of desperation would run Kobe to the ground again.
Just take your time Mamba.

No matter what you guys want or think......you're gonna have to deal with 'Kobe' stories for at least two more seasons.

'Cuase he ain't even.....in your wildest dreams.....gonna walk away from that 2-year, $50 million extension he just sign a few months back (LOL) .....

Come back next year Kobe. There is nothing to gain from rushing back to this train wreck. Spend the time to heal properly and hopefully he can another good season to retire on

He's using the wrong doctor, better call Barry or Mac for their physician's number.

If he's good enough to wear five championship rings and get the contract he got, then he's a doer. Bet your assess I'm serious.

Just because Kobe is a gifted athlete doesn't mean he'll be any good as a GM.
