10:16 AM ET 02.22 | Retired players Bernie Nicholls, Bob Bourne, Scott Parker and Bruce Bell have added their names to a concussion lawsuit that was launched in November against the NHL. The new plaintiffs join nine retired players who publicly filed the original suit in U.S. federal court in the District of Columbia, lawyers for the players announced Friday. Former Toronto Maple Leafs forward Gary Leeman is the lead publicly named plaintiff in the suit, which claims the league failed to adequately respond to serious health risks posed by concussions and other head injuries during games.

Yeah, all kidding aside, I wish them luck. Few players in these sports knew the long lasting effects that could happen.

Mr Dereliction of Doodies (reference FJ's favourite uncle - pictured above) should get some specious attention from the real Authorities as well - much much more than just a co-respondent.

They should include the NHLPA union in that lawsuit for doing nothing to protect their members and failing to remove the RoboCop rigid equipment the players wear. They use them as weapons to bludgeon each other into the Twilight Zone.

This is all leading to banning fights in the NHL. Mark my words....maybe not next season or the season after that but less then 10 years, fighting will be banned.

Goon Hockey...gone? That's a good thing.
