Jets focusing on wide receivers at combine

09:49 AM ET 02.23 | According to two team sources, the Jets are not wowed with the top options at wide receiver in free agency. Not surprisingly, the Jets have entered this offseason focused on improving their offense, and that begins with finding upgrades at wide receiver and tight end. The Jets finished 25th in total offense in 2013 and had one of the worst sets of skill players in the NFL. The Jets have spent plenty of time at the NFL Scouting Combine this week studying the wide receivers available in the draft. This class of wideouts is seen as one of the deepest in years, and the Jets feel it will be through the draft and not free agency that they will be able to find more help for their struggling offense.

That's great but they still need someone to get the ball to them.

Come on Jets... with your history of picking the best of the worst in the draft you don't think adding a proven producer like Decker or Nicks might be a better option?

I wouldn't overpay for decker and would stay clear of nicks as he is always hurt, but I hear your point

They have so many holes to fill. Should't they go with the "best available" approach.

problem is then they'd likely take another Dlineman....if rex has any say
lol

they need a playmaker #1, someone that the other team needs to account for. Then they need a CB, then another WR

(assuming they aren't going to draft another QB)

I wouldn't be surprised one bit if Rex and Jets picked Johnny Football.

Unfortunately they won't listen to me. I did suggest they use all their draft picks on punters though ;)

I think they realized you weren't the real rex when you didn't have a tattoo of sanchize on your arm

Like throwing a lit match on a puddle of gasoline.

I just hope Johnny Football is smart enough to go to a team with a strong coaching staff. I can see him getting distracted.

The QB thing will surely solve itself.

Manziel has no control over which team selects him.

So, they are sticking with Geno...

true but he can sit out and go back into the draft next year and hope for better results or strongly convince the team that drafts him to trade him.

Commonly referred to as pulling an Eli.

So is Rex going to go back to starting Sanchez or his he going to try and trade him or release him? Otherwise Sanchez wins the 2014 most expensive bench warmer award .

Don't think Rex is gonna have much say in what happens...
