07:28 AM ET 02.24 | At this advanced point of the NBA season, the league's contenders and pretenders have, for the most part, identified themselves -- and, perhaps, a team is willing to add a veteran presence down the stretch. Rip Hamilton wants to play a little more, and garner a little more glory. "I just want to go to the right team," said Hamilton, who was honored along with his teammates on UConn's 1998-99 national champions at halftime of the Huskies loss to SMU on Sunday. "I want to be on a team that has an opportunity to win it. I want to be in a situation where I have an opportunity to get another ring." ... In the NBA, Hamilton, 6-foot-7, has played 14 seasons, averaging 17.7 points across 921 games. He played in three All-Star games and won a championship with the Detroit Pistons, coached by Larry Brown, in 2004.

In other words - you want to be a passenger. Because the days when you could help drive the bus are long, long gone dude.

From standing next to other SG/SF.....I'd say he's closer to 6'5 1/2".......

In any case, Rip's long since been done. He11, he was done when the Bulls signed him; they (and he) just weren't smart enough to figure it out.

These guys really have no shame

Seriously speaking.....what has he done in the last few years to warrant the right to earn another ring?

Hamilton can't shoot the three or defend so what use is he at this point?

A veteran presence in the locker and pretty much nothing to offer on the court. He would just wear his championship ring in the locker room for any playoff contender and talk about how they won the title 10 years ago.
