Buckeyes in desperation mode

07:37 AM ET 02.24 | Down the stretch, the Buckeyes have more than salvaged their season. Is Ohio State in desperation mode? Ohio State junior LaQuinton Ross said something interesting in passing during the postgame news conference: "Every game we play from here on out is a desperation game for us." Though the No. 24 Buckeyes have turned their season around, the players haven't forgotten that they aren't in position to capture the Big Ten title. Ohio State is playing now to earn a first round bye in the Big Ten Tournament and to impress the NCAA Tournament selection committee. Ross and his teammates have embraced the idea that they have no room for error at this point in the season, particularly during a stretch of games where they're facing the bottom teams in the Big Ten.

Need to bury the comp, get the B1G bye, win one or two in the B1G tourny and the selection committee will give you a 4 or 5 spot. You will be fine.

Sweet 16 would be a good year, elite 8 a surprise and an FF a miracle.

Wait until they win a football game, then you will never hear the end of it.

Kind of narrowing the measurement criteria for success there aren't we fellas? So let me get this straight, the only wins that matter are on the road against your rival. Got it. Thanks for the quick course in SuckeyRationalization 101.

Enjoy the NIT.

Buckeyes in desperation mode,

of course they are, look who they got for their football coach now. Wait, they are not talking of him for the moment, that will come at a later day, but it will come for sure, wait and see.

You must be crazy. OSU is current 22-6. They will be going to the Big Dance, not the NIT this year.

Take it easy on the Colonel, Wamu, he is transitioning over to being a Gatah fan this season, so he needs a little extra compassion. ;-)

Just start by adding a little orange to all that UKy blue gear that you have, and keep adding more til you get a nice 50/50 split, then you should be good.
