Things unraveled for the Patriots. They lost the big game...they were not undefeated, they blew it and they were good, but not good enough. IF this man wants to roll some weed - then let him, but it is very stupid to get caught with it, escpecially since young children may look up to you as a role model. Would you want a presidential candidate to have been slinging crack on the streets in the earlier years of his life - to become president? People in general - can be irresponsible and things happen....they get caught and must pay for their errors in thinking.

February 27, 2008  05:34 AM ET

This guy want to be president?

February 27, 2008  06:25 AM ET

He should get another charge for going to see Lil' Wayne too.

February 27, 2008  07:08 AM ET

Oh, here we go with the role model thing again. If your kids role model is a Pats RB - then you may want to consider your parenting technique. I think the guy is a dumbass for getting caught. Hand rolled cigars - man, there is a good chance security if going to find that buddy!

Hey beer-n-drums - thats true and funny.

February 27, 2008  07:08 AM ET

No No THIS guy can't be president , at least of the US, but Sleeveless Bill sure would make a great one.

Gets performance out of young people, druggies, and can handle spies and warfare using illegal and unfair tactics in a zero sum game with chaos everywhere.

We love you Bill Belicheck.

Kevin Faulk will remain one of the most under appriciated players in the NFL and as a Patriot. This guy is one of my favorite players just like FB Larry Centers. The Patriots would have never won as many games without Kevin Faulk.

Faulk messed up and I thought he was a little more mature but then again it is the off season and who knows what goes on in the celebrity life once the cameras are off.

Im inclined to think that having 4 doobies isnt quite as bad as a) killing your pregnant girlfriend, b) running a dog fighting ring c) getting into brawls in strip clubs etc.
I doubt the Pats do much more than fine him. Faulk is the least known on the team. DOesnt get the shout outs that Moss, Stallkworh , Welker, Brady etc get but the guy is a workhorse. Bill knows that, Scott and Bob Kraft know it.
The other kid is done.
Faulk I think will be back.
I still cant beleive they cut Colvin!
Although Boston news is reporting its only for cap space and Rosie may be back.,

February 27, 2008  07:47 AM ET

KPKahder,
Rosevelt Colvin was actually expendable when OLB/MLB Adalius Thomas was signed. Colvin is now 31, and very injury prone. Why pay 7.6 Mil for someone who is a "Role Player" and could be injured by week 4? They need space to try to keep Moss and to sign a couple of MLB's. Maybe they should have drafted MLB Paul Poz last season with the other 1st round pick.

February 27, 2008  07:50 AM ET

What, you mean he went to a concert and smoked a doobie. Call the national guard, ready the firing squad, hunt down his family!!! Get over it already. MYOB

Spaceman Spliff, To the Rescue!!!!

February 27, 2008  07:54 AM ET

It is all about the money and the Pats are getting closer!

If the Pats were just a little bit sleezier ON the field they could start selling jerseys to all the little white rap lovin gangsta wannabes.

A murder or two wouldn't hurt either.

His lawyer should know:

everyone does it

there is no advantage to it

it was done to him

nobody is perfect

he did't know the rules

the evidence must be destroyed

and Lou should fine him enough to rebuild the ninth ward so the democrats can shut up.

February 27, 2008  08:01 AM ET

all i want to know is did his wife get implants?

February 27, 2008  08:05 AM ET

not a smart move Kevin.....not a smart move....didn't anyone in the league pay attention to Ricky Williams.....*sigh*

February 27, 2008  08:07 AM ET

I guess it was his responsibility to bring the doobage for the whole crowd - lol
Maybe it was the Bob Marley t-shirt that sent signals.

What's the difference? Ricky got caught multiple times, now Faulk will be on notice and my guess this isn;t his first time smoking. He's just been lucky enough not to get caught multiple times.

League substance abuse is still substance abuse no matter how many "doobies" you're holding.

Astro - wonder if it was an open air concert. If inside blunts shouldn't work anyway. Maybe it was his first time - sounds like a wannabe partier lol
