07:40 AM ET 02.24 | In one of the great traditions of college football, Alabama and Auburn will continue to recruit the same elite players. [One] battle could center around one of the Crimson Tide's early commitments. Tucker, Georgia defensive lineman and current Alabama commit Jonathan Ledbetter revealed via social media on Saturday that he visited Auburn for the Tigers' big junior day event. The elite Crimson Tide commit even posed for a photo in an Auburn jersey. ... Ledbetter, a 6-foot-5, 265-pound star from Tucker High School, committed to Alabama in January, choosing the Tide over offers from more than a dozen other schools. Ledbetter has continued to visit other schools, including Georgia last weekend, and could take more visits throughout the spring.

Is al.com sponsoring FN now? We see their ridiculous alabama recruiting articles every day.

This is what passes as sports news. Wow we are in that dead time of year aren't we.

If there is no news, FN stirs the pot.

Why don't these Georgia recruits stay home?

I think Mark Richt just gets outrecruited.

As for this article, I'm not worried. When we lose a recruit, we usually replace him with someone better.

I look at all these stud recruits coming out of Georgia that end up on other teams and I can't help but wonder how powerful UGA could be if they'd put up a fence.

Historically underperforming crew that can't seem to put it all together when the opportunities arise. Of course, they are working on a quad's worth of W's against us currently.....but who isn't these days....

That's true

On the flip side they have put together a couple of seasons that if we were Bama we'd go to the BCS cg...like 2002 and 2007.

Yep, been oh-so-close with really good seasons, but just weren't able to get there. There is a certain amount of luck needed, and the Luck of the Dawg just wasn't working.
