04:10 PM ET 02.24 | The recent reports about the San Francisco 49ers having trade discussions with the Cleveland Browns about Jim Harbaugh, no matter how serious they may have been, have shown the public just how toxic things are becoming between Harbaugh and the Niners. While the two sides are married for another year, already there are rumors swirling about where Harbaugh will coach next and lots of teams may be gearing up for a run at an unconventional free agent in 2015. According to Jason Cole, the Miami Dolphins appear to be at the front of the line when it comes to teams looking to make a run at hiring Harbaugh in 2015.

Should be a nice comfortable coaching year for Philbin.

When did things become "toxic" with Harbaugh and why? First I've heard of it.

Seems there's conflict between the GM and Harbaugh.

I still can't get past him saying he didn't know what was going on in his own locker room.

Harbaugh really is shark bait and as we all knew, Philbin is a lame duck.

Harbaugh should go to Seattle.

I suspect he was simply afraid to take action.

And I would have difficulty hearing Harbaugh say the same thing. He seems to be a hands-on coach who knows what is going on in his locker room.
Would be a classic confrontation if the 49ers lose him and he wins elsewhere.

Santa Clara better **** up somehow. He's a winning coach. If not, he will do well elsewhere.
