07:43 AM ET 02.25 | Quarterback Zadock Dinkelmann has never played a down of high school varsity football, but that didn't stop him from landing a college scholarship offer. What makes that more impressive is that the middle schooler with a big arm, polished mechanics and a 6-foot-4 and 200 pound frame is committed to play for LSU, one of the top schools in the nation's top conference. "You dream of stuff like that," said Johan Dinkelmann, Zadock's father. ... Johan played football at Cincinatti, while Zadock's grandfather, coaching legend Sonny Detmer, is the father of both Ty Detmer and Koy Detmer, who also serves as an assistant on the team. ... "Sonny knows Cam really well," Johan said. "He recruited Ty and has been around the family. They have a close relationship and all that stuff."

Folks, how short are your memories? Kiffin is now the OC at Bama (You know, the guy who started signing middle-schoolers while at USCw). LSU is just adapting to the new competitive landscape.

UFM ain't too far behind. He recruited Massillon starting QB and freshman Danny Clark back in December. May become the new fad in the B1G.

Horses produce road apples. It's a natural thing. Smacking your horse isn't an answer.

If he's 6'4" in 8th grade, how tall will he be in college?
Is 6'8" too big of a target to play QB?

Its good to see 8th graders choosing where they are going, never heard of an 8th grader changing his mind.
