07:28 AM ET 02.26 | Pittsburgh's Aaron Donald has made himself a popular young man this offseason. Donald has had a great off season, starting with a dominant week at the Senior Bowl, and then following up with a great week in Indy. My biggest concern with Donald has been his lack of natural size and arm length. In the NFL, that is always a concern. Donald has done a great job changing my mind. People want to compare Donald to Geno Atkins, and it's a good comparison. ... Their arm lengths are similar, and Donald has proven to be a bit more explosive when you compare the different drills. His 4.68 second forty is very impressive, as well as his 7.11 three-cone and 32" vertical. I figured Donald would be a late first or early second, but now he could go as high as the teens. He is a very good fit for a one gap 4-3 team as a three-technique.

"My biggest concern with Donald has been his lack of natural size and arm length." At 6' 0" and 284 he's going to be a DT in today's NFL? He'd better be strong like Hercules.

For the schematically challenged(I being one of them), here's a diagram of defensive line techniques.

I agree. I heard all the blathering on by Mayock about Aaron Donald then I looked at his size to see that many TE's are bigger than him. THe problem isn't just his height but weight . For Mayock to say Donald was as good as Clowney is a stretch.

Their are bats flying in the writers attic, I think he should do something about that, don't you?

Somebody like Mayock says something like this and the bankrupt schlockmeisters keep saying it. Size does matter at DT. (Bears had better draft Nix [6'3" 340] or Jernigan [6' 2" 298] and not this guy who I bet is not 6'.)

BJ Raji was good for one year. Then the O linemen just stood there and pushed his head in the dirt.
