07:34 AM ET 02.26 | For a college football star who has a Heisman Trophy and national title on his resume, it might seem an exhibition baseball game would rank comparatively less thrilling. Yet to watch and listen to Jameis Winston Tuesday at Steinbrenner Field, you could feel just how much this meant to him. "It was surreal," Winston said, after his Florida State team fell to the Yankees, 8-3. "Probably better than winning the national championship." He added: "Auburn wasn't my favorite team growing up, but the Yankees definitely were. So this is obviously better." ... While Winston obviously is an NFL prospect, his baseball future remains unclear. One major league scout noted Winston "does throw hard," so continued development could propel him onto clubs' radars.

How is it stupid? I would rather play against a professional team in an exhibition game, not to mention one of the greatest teams in sports. But, I am a Yankees fan so maybe I am biased.
