07:35 AM ET 02.26 | Two days after calling out Blue Jays ownership, agent Scott Boras toned it down a bit -- but he didn't let them off the hook. [Boras argued] that Rogers Communications has a 'rare opportunity' to improve the team's roster without surrendering first round draft choices. Shortstop Stephen Drew and first baseman/designated hitter Kendrys Morales -- both clients of the Boras Corporation -- are the types of players who would upgrade the Blue Jays in the short and long term, Boras told Jeff Blair on Sportsnet 590 The FAN Tuesday. "Those players are available to this franchise," Boras told Blair. While the Blue Jays continue to express confidence in second baseman Ryan Goins, Boras counters that they 'have no second base prospect in their system' who projects as an impact big league player. Drew would represent a potential upgrade for the Blue Jays, and he's open to moving to the right side of the infield.

Great decision walking away from the Sox qualifying offer.

A better decision would be for Drew to walk away from Boras.

Drew also has to accept that he's just not all that.

The Jays made a major blunder last off season with the big trade with the Fish and neither one of those men mention would help put the Jays in playoff contention.

If this were Soviet Russia during WWII and you said something nonsensical like that to your superior officer, he'd slide a pistol across the table to you and nod his head and wait outside until it was over.

I would like to see this happen.

So, not only is Boras an agent hyping his guys, he's apparently become an evaluator of minor league talent ("with no second base talent in their system").
This guy's ego is amusing; he must be fun to negotiate with.

Boras has himself a bona fide albatross in Drew.....couldn't happen to a better agent....Free should have take the $14mil one year sea Boston offered him....as Bugs Bunny would say..."What a maroon"

Didn't Slink do the same to you after your draft last year?

He slid an ice cream scoop across the table and he didn't leave the room.
