Knicks owner proves gutless

07:31 AM ET 02.27 | In the midst of a disappointing season, the Knicks now have Raymond Felton in the headlines, too. [But], less than 24 hours after he left Manhattan Criminal Court on $25,000 bail, you would have thought he would include these two words in his meager comments to the press: "I'm sorry." He never said it once, not a single time. ... The apologies shouldn't have ended with Felton. [James Dolan] should have gotten himself up to his practice facility in Greenburgh to meet the media and tell his season-ticket holders, and Knick fans who can't afford his prices, that he was very sorry for the entire incident and making what has been a messy season even worse. Of course Dolan was a no-show, gutless as ever to show his face and let fans know that he does care about who represents his team and how they behave off the court.

From the picture he has a big gut.. lol. On the real though we all handle situations differently. He will get criticized no matter what he did. Leave the man alone. Let Dolan breathe.

And all you haters get off Felton's naughts... this is the same point guard that led us to 54 wins last seasons.

The real problem is coaching. Woodson didn't change the playing book at all so scouts know Knicks offense inside out. It's like Mr. West met Gloria... you already know what's about to happen.

What Knicks need is a new coach with a new system that will inspire the players to play hard and enjoy the game again. Right now everything around Woody stinks.. get him out of there.

and more recently a .368 winning percentage this season.

I find it hard to give last year's "success" to Felton and this years failure to Woody.

I think this was your chance to agree w/ the article and call them gutless also. Instead you decide to side w/ them and act like they deserve a freebie. They don't! They messed up your Knicks so should kill them for it. And this is not the NY Post...lol

Ahh! I was looking for the Gloria reference in the previous thread and thought perhaps you had "Lost" your obsession for her. But no, you haven't.

The Knicks have recessed overall, injuries, player performance, coaching, bad or subpar FA signings.

Woody had to change his playbook for Felton to play hard and win. Woody didn't so everything seems so hard for Knicks. We get out-schemed each night.

Everyone knows what we'll do on defense and where the ball is going on offense. Losing to teams that have already given up on the season like Bucks and Orlando is great evidence of how predictable Knicks coaching is...

Woody's gotta go. The talent is there.. the coaching and motivation to play hard is gone. It's totally his fault.

they had some talent-
but just like how last year, several guys had career years
this year- everyone but melo has had a arer worst year

bottom line is them not doing ANYTHING along the way
proves what I said above to M3at

February 27, 2014  10:13 AM ET

This is a little harsh, these are grown men who need to accept resposibility for their actions. Felton is the one who needs to **** up and face the media, not the owner

They don't get out-schemed, they get out-played. And you're right, the talent is there. This team just has no heart. You want to give Felton the credit for the 54 wins and blame Woddson for the losses? Really? It's about execution.

February 27, 2014  10:47 AM ET

In this case, I think the "no comment" approach was best. There still has yet to be a trial, and talking to the media typically will just make a bad situation worse. The Daily News needs to keep in mind that it is Felton who caused this problem, no one else.

actually they get out schemed all the time....cause.....
they have no scheme.
its iso melo or chuck up a bad shot.

and defensively- they have regressed to a point that it is an embarassment

IMO- it is the coaches job to get all these guys on the same page
and he's failed big time this year

So let's see some candidates to straighten out this mess. Will there be rumblings of Phil Jackson again?

From what I've seen of the Knicks.....I gotta agree.

The coaching staff is doing a poor job of managing the games, managing the players and motivating the players. Thus....this team is 'dead in the water'.

At age 68 or 69 years of age......PJ wants no part of this mess......
