07:34 AM ET 02.27 | If the Mets are going to land a shortstop, it's going to cost them. While the trade attention has been on a potential match for the Mets in Seattle middle infielder Nick Franklin, the Arizona Diamondbacks also have an extra shortstop. Will Arizona trade either Chris Owings or Didi Gregorius during spring training? "It's been pretty quiet of late," Diamondbacks GM Kevin Towers told Nick Piecoro in the Arizona Republic. "With Stephen Drew still out there right now, I haven't had much trade discussions." The industry scuttlebutt is that Towers would drive a hard bargain with the Mets because of a less-than-harmonious experience working for Sandy Alderson with the San Diego Padres. "For us, it would have to be the right deal," Towers told Piecoro about the possibility of trading a shortstop.

I disagree. He has gotten rid of riff-raff, rebuilt the farm system, and has the Mets poised to be a factor over the next few years.

In the three years that he has been here he has finally dropped down where his club just might compete with The Astros Farm System! Everyone of his major pitchers have been DL'd and he has not developed one everyday player,in fact he has managed to screw up his most talented young players with his head games! Add to that a phantom catcher who cant hit,a second baseman with hands of stone and an ageing and dMaged third baseman, now, tell me how's he doing?
