Saban on Tide's off-field issues
Alabama players appear to be at a crossroads. They must make better judgments, especially late at night when they're out, or coach Nick Saban said he is going "to eliminate those situations, so we don't have any of these issues in the future." Eight players have now been arrested in Saban's 14-month tenure. Yet he is not at the point where he will institute a curfew or a ban on frequenting the Strip in Tuscaloosa. He will issue punishments only to change behavior, a method that does not always include a suspension. But in the aftermath of defensive captain Rashad Johnson's arrest on a charge of disorderly conduct, Saban was clear: "It's a problem. I've said `enough is enough' and we're trying to fix it."

I am a lifelong fan of Alabama football... but have grown weary and frustrated with all the headlines. You can not pick up the paper it seems without reading of yet another player busted for late night indiscretions.
Alabama of course is not alone in this trend. Ten of the twelve teams in the conference have lost players in the last year due to serious lapses in judgement. From Tennessee, to Florida... from LSU to Alabama... collectively all programs in the SEC really need to take a harsh stance on this and impliment a no tolerance policy. If you get arrested, you're off the team... period....

Saban only cares about wins, he could give a crap about the players he recruits. of course there will be off the field issues with this guy. if he were a true college coach he would be ensuring that his players aren't running around like morons away from the game.
it just makes you wonder how much class these players are going to?????
Bama fans should get rid of this guy. You know he's going to leave you for the next big job once that comes around right?????? just ask LSU and Miami Dolphins.
