Terrelle Pryor's recruitment has intensified ever since Rich Rodriguez took over at Michigan. Over the past few months, many twists and turns have occurred to make Pryor's impending decision one of the most highly anticipated announcements in recent memory. Terrelle Pryor is a five-star dual-threat quarterback recruit. He's listed as the class of 2008's No. 1 prospect according to both Rivals.com and Scout.com. Scout.com lists Pryor having "medium interest" in Michigan, Ohio State, Oregon and Penn State. Rivals.com lists Pryor being "high" on Michigan and Ohio State and "medium" on Penn State.

I think Pryor is "high" on Pryor; did anyone notice his initials are TP, the same as Toilet Paper? just an observation.

I said it once I'll say it a million times....he's going to Monmouth.

February 29, 2008  09:15 AM ET

He's leaning to Southern University. He wants to win the Bayou Classic!

Critical update. Thanks.

Stop it already TP! S--t or get off the pot!

February 29, 2008  10:27 AM ET

Wait, I'm hearing from my sources that he isn't going to play football at all. He's going to go to a post-graduate school in Massachusetts, and try for the NBA instead.

This whole thing is ridiculous. If anyone seriously addresses this story, then something is wrong with you.

I say we should all just generate more crazy scenarios. Who's with me?

February 29, 2008  10:32 AM ET

T&R will report on Monday that TP will try out for the Georgia Force of the AFL as a free agent.

February 29, 2008  10:36 AM ET

I heard he's dating Paris Hilton.....

This just depresses me. I'm a PSU alum and die-hard fan, but I knew from the beginnning this kid wouldn't pick PSU. Which is par for the course. You have an unproven QB coach that is there purely by way of nepotism and hasn't developed a QB worth a hill of beans. Odd that he started after Collins and no PSU QB has made an impact in terms of a championship or in the NFL.

I can only hear what he's being told by OSU and Mich: "Kid, you have an 80-year-old coach who hasn't won a championship in 22 years. How many have we won in just the past ten? How many of our guys are now making millions in the NFL? How many Penn State guys do you see?"

Let's face it, PSU fans, we're not getting this kid and he will be kicking our ass the next four years. Although, our new guy looked pretty good when he got the chance, so I won't write anything off yet!

February 29, 2008  10:54 AM ET

F8ck Pryor, we have Clark next year, possibly in a two quarterback system with Pat Devlin. Devlin is going to be an elite quarterback the two years after that, so Pryor would probably only start one year anyway.

February 29, 2008  10:56 AM ET

DevRock, I wouldn't be shocked if he chose PSU but I also think it's unlikely due to JayPa.

However...PSU doesn't have a shortage of NFL players, we've won the Big 10 more recently than Michigan, we have the most recent Big 10 BCS win, and our bowl record is as good.

February 29, 2008  10:57 AM ET

And Bigd - I hope you're right but Morelli was supposed to be a stud so i'll believe in Devlin when I see it. I do have faith in Clark if he can stay healthy.

February 29, 2008  10:59 AM ET

I think it could be said that Pryor might not have managed his recruitment all that well. But we have no idea what is going on thru his head. Heck, he might be having reservations about playing football and might want to go the basketball root. I wouldn't blame him for that as he might have a better chance of making it big with bball than fball.

And i still think he goes to OSU. UM is out of it even though it represents the best situation for him.

I can't wait for the Blue & White game on April 19th.

February 29, 2008  11:00 AM ET

PS Forever, I personally believe that some kids just don't need the top notch coaching to be elite. Michael Robinson didn't need it. He may have only played quarterback full time one year, and turned into one of the best in the country. That might not be a great comparison because of the different styles though.
And I personally think our fortunes these past two years would have been completely changed if Henne had chosen us over Michigan.

I have been planning to go to the Blue & White game for the last four months, and my mother just told me two days ago that I can't go because I have to go visit my grandparents that weekend.
