Logan Gray may see some playing time this fall for Georgia, but maybe not as a quarterback. There is a possibility the redshirt freshman could work his way into the offensive gameplan from another position, Georgia coach Mark Richt said. used as something else," Richt said. "He is a guy that is very athletic and very eager to help Georgia win." The 6-foot-2, 180-pound Gray, the only quarterback UGA signed in the high school class of 2007, could be used at that position in run situations. The Missouri product has the top speed among the three scholarship quarterbacks on the roster and also is the most athletic player in the group. In high school, Gray was considered one of the top basketball prospects in Missouri. There was even some discussion during his recruitment that Gray could become a wide receiver or find himself on the defensive side of the ball at the next level. But Georgia is not going to move Gray from the quarterback spot -- at least not permanently.

it's good you guys spell georgia in your song. We'd hate for you to forget how ;)

Well, I guess you know a team is going to be highly-rated when successive headlines are quoting the coach as saying he "might" play two tailbacks and he "may" put a freshman QB on the field at another position. Must be a slow news day in Atlanta.

Kind of like the "Tebow gets bad gas, but passes " headline at the Gainseville Sun

Elvis, for the record, Atlanta is a much larger town than Gainesville and I would expect the AJC to have a little more going on. Besides, the Gainesville Sun has never published an article with that title.

Why move the kid from QB? Let him be a change of pace QB, like how Tebow was for Chris Leak.

Richt also said last season that Joe Cox would see alot of playing time, but that never happened. I expect to see him for trick plays and PATs.

and p.s ramblin gator, Im sure Urban has talked about what he MIGHT do and it has been put in the paper.

Go dawgs!

you have to read between the lines......Logan will see playing time in the second half when UGA is up by 4 scores or more......like the tech game

RamblinGator - it must have been a slower newsday than when the Dawgs beat both your Jackets and **** this past year. Get use to it

March 3, 2008  04:48 PM ET

Hey SkinsWin, must be a dull 18 year run for you with only 3 wins against UF, ****! Sounds like you are already used to it though, so I'm sure you'll be happy with 3 more wins in the next 18 years too.

March 3, 2008  04:49 PM ET

Just being sure my comment is complete for you, ****!
