Cowboys interested in Walker

The Broncos released receiver Javon Walker on Friday, and the Cowboys have stepped up to the plate and expressed an immediate interest, according to numerous sources. The Cowboys are looking to add a receiver to a crew that includes All-Pro Terrell Owens, Terry Glenn and Patrick Crayton. The team is uneasy about how Glenn will return from the two knee surgeries he underwent in 2007, and Walker wouldn't come without similar concerns. Knee surgery limited Walker to eight games last fall, two years after he tore his ACL and underwent reconstructive surgery in his final year as a Packer.

may the skins sign him to a long term contract for a gazillion dollars

March 1, 2008  09:30 AM ET

I can see it happening...Not sure the Cowboys have any patience right now to do it with this years draft...They are in to resigning their own and vets..

March 1, 2008  10:05 AM ET

HAHA, good luck with that. Walker wanted out of Denver b/c Brandon Marshall was going to be the #1, so now he goes to Dallas where he will be anywhere from your #2 to #4 WR, HAHAHAHA.

No, No, I can see this working out well.

March 1, 2008  10:23 AM ET

As long as Dallas drafts a wide receiver on the first day in April, I wouldn't have a problem with this. I say first day because Glenn may not be back so you would essentially be trading one injury prone WR for another.

One plus is that Manningham seems to be falling down the draft boards, so he could be there when Dallas selects in the 2nd round, though I prefer Limas Sweed out of Texas.

There's not enough footballs for both him and T.O., but one can never have enough offense.

The good thing is that he's not a crier.

So, demanding to be let go from not one but TWO teams isn't a crier? He is the definition of a crier

You Giants fans have become so much more obnoxious since you had a SB land in your lap. I was congratulating you guys but that stops now. You don't know how to win graciously do you?

Hooah!05

You can't blame them for rubbing it in after everyone said they were going to lose by 40pts.
I don't know why Dallas would go after another guy that is injury prone and not really consistent in his play.

March 1, 2008  11:58 AM ET

Dallas just wants to go after every big name blindly don't they? No way this fits.

It's just talking at this point. And, yes I can blame them. Everyone assumed, and I'm sure they did too, that Patriots were going to take them to the cleaners. It didn't happen but most of us have been magnanimous about it. Not some of them. Disgusting. That's OK. One and done. Dallas will dismantle them again regular season and this year they don't even mke the playoffs.

March 1, 2008  12:07 PM ET

You know that a team comes out empty handed when its name is mentioned with EVERY possible FA signing.

I am a Dallas fan and I am sick and tired of hearing Dallas name with every trade possible. Damn, even in the draft we are making big splashes.

Let's focus on very few people and make sound decisions.

March 1, 2008  12:11 PM ET

Take it easy Hooah!

Had the Pats won another SB, I would have gone on a hunger strike in front of ESPN buildings because of the never ending coverage of the latest dump Brady took.

The Giants might be obnoxious, but we had a winning record against them last season. We will meet them next season and will hand them their a-s-s-e-s every way possible.

To be honest, if I was a Giants fan, I would do the same considering how Bostonians have been the last 5 years or so.

Hooah, it's not the Cowboys I have a problem with. It's T.O. and it stems from his days on both S.F. and Philly. I guess Cowboys fans now have no problem with him dancing on the star. This guy is clown, and us Giant fans are not going to forget his classless actions, trash-talking and crying for a long, long time to come.

March 1, 2008  01:05 PM ET

Bring him in for a 1 year trial. T.O. is in his last year. Keep one of them next year.

March 1, 2008  01:37 PM ET

Hooah!05..Every team has its share of jerks for fans. Winning teams pick them up like stray dogs. I doubt the obnoxious ones could tell you much about the Giants, they just started watching them during this years play offs....Regardless, the NFC East is going to be a war zone this year. Four Beasts. By far the best division in football...

50 year fan, I agree about the band-wagon fans and it makes me sick. Right on about the NFC East being a beast as well.

Furthermore, fans and players aren't the only ones whom are jerks. I was irate when I heard about Jerry Jones putting 2 NFC Championship tickets in each Cowboy's players lockers. That's downright disrespectful.

March 1, 2008  02:02 PM ET

Javon your a worthless bum. And look what all your complaining got you. Karma is a b.itch isnt it?

March 1, 2008  02:14 PM ET

Walker's knee is shot. He will never be the same.

The NFC east is good but I don't think its any better than the AFC South. They also had 3 teams make the playoffs and it was in the stronger conference. I think a round robin played against the two conferences would be very close.

March 1, 2008  02:28 PM ET

Hooah!05 :

the giants hadnt even been mentioned on this blog until you did. the comment you responded to had nothing to do with new york. it seems to me that you are a sore losing patriots fan, and i now have no respect for pats fans. giantscheated.com was disgraceful

March 1, 2008  02:45 PM ET

sacked92 ..Jones thought he was being cute. He has to be part of the show. It just made it better though when they lost..Glad he is their owner, makes it easier to want to beat them. These last twelve years must be driving him crazy-love it.

buckybadger ...Don't be fooled by the AFC South. A certain amount of teams have to make the play offs. Heck the Giants made it last year at 8-8. The NFC East teams played the Pats better than any other group. That should tell you all you need to know. My opinion.
