Will Bucs bring Dunn back?

The thinking is that if Michael Turner signs with Atlanta, former Buc Warrick Dunn will be released. If that happens, the Bucs could make a play on Dunn, whose loss has been lamented by Bucs coach Jon Gruden since it happened seven years ago.

That i think would be great for Dunn and the Buccaneers. Dunn is a Vet that still has a couple years left in the tank.

the Falcons still need to address the O-line problems they've had.......doesn't matter who the RB is if he doesn't have any decent blocking. i would be sad to see Dunn leave, but i'm sure the Bucs would be just as happy to have him back.

Dunn is such a great character guy and locker room presence that it would make sense for any team to bring him in to mentor its young players. Plus, he can still be effective in a limited role. Atlanta should keep him as a backup to Jerious Norwood who should be given the opportunity to start and log some major carries.

I really think that the Falcons will take a long look at Drafting LT Jake Long.....They need a LT and since they use Right handed QB's now, it would make a lot of sense.

Tampa would be a nice place to play if it wasn't for Chuckie. He rates up there in my book with Wayne Fonts and Buddy Ryan. Completely classless.

America's Legend I agree with you 100%, the Falcons need to build from the line on up.

As for the Dunn Situation, I don't think that Atlanta will drop him, Blank LOVES the guy and with all the Vick junk you need to hang on to the class act guys. Then again Dunn is a top 5 RB in Salary, but not really even a top 20 RB in talent anymore so you never know.

He still has about one to two good years left in him. He would make a great 2nd back to Caddy. Atl really do need to fix their O-line or they will be just as terrible as last year.

March 2, 2008  12:32 PM ET

nascarzorin, the probability of Caddy ever coming back from that injury is about 5%, I think that Earnest Graham has made a solid statement this last year, that signing Michael Bennett was a good choice and getting Dunn would make sense.....then let Pittman leave to open up some more $ in the salary cap, I always thought he was over rated and has fumbleitis.

I'm not a Bucs or Falcons fan but I've always thought Dunn was highly UNDER-rated .. to top it off he's a quality individual putting people in homes who without his assistance wouldn't have that chance. Props to you Warrick! Good luck ..

Bring WD back home to Tampa where he belongs. Staying in Atlanta will only hurt him at the close of an outstanding career. A class act if there ever was one.

March 2, 2008  01:59 PM ET

I live in the Bay Area, and although I'm not a big Bucs fan, I am a HUUUUUGE Warrick Dunn fan! He's about the best human being any team could hope to have, and a damn good running back to boot. Mr. Dunn is, IMHO, the finest player and person to ever don the Garnet and Gold. I'd go to Bucs games again just to watch HIM play.

March 2, 2008  02:24 PM ET

As a long time Bucs fan I would welcome him back in a heartbeat.....at the right price. Lets not get crazy here.

He is one of the players we should be talking about every day instead of Pacman and Vick.

Dunn builds homes for poor people......just a great guy. A HUGE credit to the league. Derrick Brooks should bve mentioned too.

March 2, 2008  05:41 PM ET

I think they should bring him back would be a huge lift to the depleted RB corps they had last year with all the injuries

March 3, 2008  07:37 PM ET

Oh my goodness! Where to start? First of all, the majority of you are correct. Mr. Dunn is a CLASS ACT. Wouldn't it be awesome to see him finish his career where he started with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers?? He would no doubt be a tremendous third-down option/weapon. WOW!! As for stevedallas - what a moron! At least he said, in his book......Anyone, anyone who would call Wayne Fontes (he can't even spell his name correctly) classless has to be a complete idiot. Ask the people he worked for. Ask the people who played for him. Ask the people who know him. He is ALL class. He may not have won the way Detroit fans wanted him to, but he was, is and always will be a class act. sd, you could only wish to sniff his jockstrap.
