Quarterback battle at Stanford
Stanford is looking for a starting quarterback for the 2008 season. He might be new. He might not. But whomever "he" turns out to be, coach Jim Harbaugh is hoping to mold his chosen starter into a leader and the kind of effective passer that could propel the Cardinal into a bowl game for the first time in seven years. The top three candidates are Tavita Pritchard, Alex Loukas and transfer Jason Forcier, followed by sophomores Nicholas Ruhl and L.D. Crow.

This doesn't even mention incoming Freshman Andrew Luck. He's supposed to be pretty good.
My money is on Forcier. The former Wolverine QB is pretty good.

I just wonder how Harbaugh would react if he got a QB like himself about 20 plus years ago? He drove Bo absolutely nuts!!!!!!

Hopefully one of these QB's can lead Stanford back towards a bowl. It's been awhile for the Cardinal.

As a USC fan just starting to get over that you-know-what, knowing the whole story of Pritchard's road to playing in you-know-what, I would have to believe he's in the mix. No matter what I just hope he's out the week the Trojans make the trip up to Stanford.

My money is on Forcier. He would have been the go to guy had he stayed at UM. Stanford lucked out on getting him.

I'll throw around the old pigskin for Stanford. Do you need any experience? I don't have any, yet...

Yeah, just like Horkbag was with the Bears. The irony. And since they're at Stanford, you'd think it wouldn't escape them.
