Bill Cowher's house is for sale in Raleigh, N.C., and he and his family will move -- 2 miles away. Cowher said yesterday, with a laugh, that "I'm not going anywhere," after Internet reports noted that his house was for sale and rumors linked him with another coaching job, this one at Penn State.

That would make me cry with joy if this happened, but it never would. We just have to hope, and I think we will, that we can lure Greg Schiano from Rutgers when JoePa finally retires.

^ditto

I didn't know the Penn St. job was for grabs.

when JoePa finally retires.....Bigdleech | 03/

I remember when everyone thought Don Shula would get the job when he retired....I do not think his replacement is out of grammer school yet.. hehehe

March 5, 2008  12:44 PM ET

The other problem is I think he'll make sure someone is promoted from his staff as opposed to bringing in new blood. Unfortunately.

March 5, 2008  12:48 PM ET

JoePa should retire. He is much too old dadgummit.

March 5, 2008  12:58 PM ET

give it to joepa junior so they can remain a doormat

God loves all his creations.

Joe Pa never dies, or retires, his glasses just get thicker.

March 5, 2008  03:06 PM ET

He's the reason I stop liking the Steelers.

March 5, 2008  03:22 PM ET

He'll coach the Wolfpack someday..Cowher, that is..

March 5, 2008  03:40 PM ET

Penn State is Schiano's job. I would think that Cowher would take the NC State job, and that Tom O'Brien will get the boot.

March 5, 2008  03:45 PM ET

What's the hard-on with Schiano anyway, the job should go to Tom Bradley, all Schiano did was have one good season in a middling to crappy Big East, that's nothing to go nuts about

March 5, 2008  04:02 PM ET

I actually agree with you BuckeyePride, it's just that it has been reported for ever that Schiano is the replacement to Paterno.

March 5, 2008  04:27 PM ET

I thought I read an article saying Galen Hall would succeed JoePa. I thought the idea was not to turn off recruits with the uncertainty of who would be the next head coach.

March 5, 2008  04:56 PM ET

yeah...this all makes sense. Cowher resigns from the Steelers because making 6 million was shy a couple million of what some other loony NFL owner will pay him.....but he will go to State College instead.

Somebody is smokin' something out there.

Cowher and Penn State? What next? Wayne Fonts is set to return to coach the Detroit Lions? Damn, reminds me of all the reports that Miles was a lock for the head job at Michigan! Problem is that Joe Pa will hang on and coach until he gets Alzheimer's!
