Vandy coach: Foster SEC's best
Kevin Stallings is prohibited from voting for his choice for Southeastern Conference Player of the Year. The Vanderbilt coach is not, however, prohibited from stating the case for Commodore senior wing Shan Foster, who may have effectively ended any debate on the subject with his 42-point performance in Wednesday's 86-85 overtime win against visiting Mississippi State. Heading into Saturday's regular-season finale at Alabama, Foster leads the league with 17 games of 20 or more points -- including his last four. "I'm not one to campaign for my players but I don't think there's any question, personally," Stallings said of Foster, whose 20.6 points per game leads the conference.

I agree wholeheartedly. Foster is without a doubt better than anyone else in the SEC and deserves serious consideration for First Team All-America. He put up 42 against an NCAA tournament-caliber team!
