If goalie Dominik Hasek wants to play next season, the Red Wings are all for it. Hasek didn't commit one way or another to playing another season after Tuesday's series-ending 4-3 loss to Anaheim.

Maybe we should go with ozzie and howard......Hasek played really well, but I think he's just not with the NEW NHL crappy crap!!!! Good luck SENS!!!

Hasek is great player I have enjoyed watching over the years. I would love to see him back.

i hope he retires hes like the roger clemens of hockey. hes done. He was a great goealie but he should retire while his legacy is intact

Retiring after the 2002 cup winning season would have been the smart thing to do, but he did play really well this year for the wings.....I wouldnt go as far as saying hes the clemens of hockey, then again, I hope no one is ever compaired to clemens..........

hasek is old and his days are over time for the young to get a chance. Hasek is 43 yrs old its time for him to go back to czechoslovakia. GO DUCKS BEAT THE SENS ILL BE AT GAMES 1, 2, 5 IF NECESSARY, AND 7 IF NECESSARY. LETS GO DUCKS.

I say keep Hasek around and sign a good up and coming goalie so he can groom him.

GO SENS GO GO SENS GO!!!!!!!!!!

im sry but the guy who compared him to clemons is an idiot.....haven't u notices both players are still just below elite players...hasek had the second best save percentage in the playoffs and last year clemons was one of the best in era again.

May 23, 2007  06:43 PM ET

Actually, Hasek was 3rd behind M. Turco-1.30 but only 7 games played, R.Luongo 1.77 12 games and Hasek 1.79 with 18 games. He did very well for an old ****,but lets not forget that I hate the Red Wings

May 24, 2007  12:03 AM ET

Cool. I hear they also asked Richard Sevigny to come back as their #2.

May 24, 2007  01:43 AM ET

hasek sucks, he loses sight of the puck and does a snow angel, hmmm thats a great reaction lie on ur back so u can be pushed into the net, the wings need to start working howard more, and get rid of osgood, hes not an answer, hes hardly a back up, the wings don't have the power to win with a mediocre goalie n e more...
