Hoosiers may lose top recruit
Indiana could lose a nationally ranked player from its 2008 recruiting class. Terrell Holloway, a 6-0 point guard from Cincinnati, has asked out of the letter of intent he signed with the Hoosiers in November. Letters of intent normally are binding, but Holloway and Devin Ebanks had "out" clauses in their letters, allowing them to leave if Kelvin Sampson was not the coach. Sampson accepted a buyout after allegations of major recruiting violations. Memphis, Texas and Rutgers are expected to be among the leaders if he doesn't stick with IU.

I think this clearly falls in the "Jimmy Crack Corn" category. Who cares?

If he goes...he goes. However, here's hoping that Devin Ebanks wants to stay close to home. How about St. Johns?

Hova,
Does St. Johns still play basketball? The last good team they had was Artest, Erik Barkley and company. They were fun to watch then.

He'll stick with the Hoosiers
But I think most recruiters should have a clause in there contract, coaches have been leaving the program high and dry lately

I wish I could coach at Indiana.
All you have to do is bring disgrace to this second rate program, and they pay you off to leave.

Hova,
My bad.....I just don't understand why St. Johns can't keep some of their own local talent. While I think basketball in New York City schools are over-rated. I'm not bashing here (but who was the last kid from the city that could shoot)?

SoFlaBoy:
You are a hundred percent right. Unfortunately players here are more focused on streetball then the traditional games. As far as St. John's goes kids want to leave home and play in the Garden. Because the Garden has so many tournaments now, you can go to a Duke, Carolina, Virginia, Pitt, or UCONN and still play 2 or 3 games a year at Madison Square.
What the Johnnies need to do is focus on NYC players that are overlooked by the majors and grab kids from the suburbs. Unfortunately Coach Roberts is too focused on JUCO's and 2 star prospects.

I dont blame him if he was going there just because Sampson. Indiana is way bigger than that guy. As soon as this season is over, IU will get another good coach. It's one of the best jobs in college basketball and again, like always ,there will be another wave of good players come. I just wish the Indiana kids would stay in Indiana. If the best kinds from Indiana went to IU every year nobody would beat them. We don't want "street ballers." We want championships.

I don't blame them, but I think they're making a mistake. Indiana is still one of the top programs in the nation and still has the third most amount of b-ball championships.

"Indiana may be on probation for his whole college career. He needs out!!!!!"
That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard. Them canning KS will save them from serious sanctions. IU will be fine.

Indiana University basketball has been on the skids ever since they permitted Bobby Knight to assault players and curse on live television. The problem is with the morals and ethics of Indiana University.

Does anyone here have a clue or are you all just hoping IU gets a bunch of sanctions? And UK? Get real. NIT for them. IU stomped there ass by 19 points without Gordon and Basset. They are horrible.
