Broken promises by the head coach pissed him off...there are no guarantees if you are not the most talented at your position....

if thats the case why do kids these days run away from a challenge, it used to be if you didnt get a spot, you put in the extra time and earned it, you didnt transfer...

Amen to that brother. Seems like too many kids want things without having to work for them. You gotta climb the mountain if you want to be on top.

What if you know that you have NO CHANCE of being the "strarter"; such as Emmanuel Moody who left USC and enrolled at Florida? The guy is a very talented back, but he had very little chance (if any) of beating out McKnight, Jones or Tyler. At Florida he ia in a premier program and will probably be the starting running back. As much as I dislike UF, I can't hold a grudge against Moody for transferring.

Thats my point, you never know that you dont have a chance...if you work harder, shine brighter, and outplay the other when given the chance whether it be in practice, work outs, or a game...you will make an impression...

but sometimes there are just clear idealogical differences between player and coach, at which point its probably better to go seperate ways...

Jabril1217...You and I normally don't see eye to eye on a lot of issues but in this case I think you are 100% correct. To take it one step further I believe that money has changed the way most blue chippers look at their situation. They are often looking at where they can get the most exposure the quickest in order to get to the big money at the next level. Maybe Moody might have played at USC and maybe not. Why chance it when you know you can be "the man" at Florida and maybe get drafted after your firat or second year there? I just don't see many of the elite college players in it for the love of the university they represent. There are exceptions of course but the whole dynamic makes me less interested in the college game than I used to be. I guess I am getting old...

Competition is good for the Soul; I wonder when HE knew that Missouri wasn't the place for him. It's like traveling across the country to meet some broad and you get their, try it out from various angles, and it wasn't what it seemed to be before you went there in the first place. This is your collegiate career, sometimes you make a choice as man and stick with it as a man. At RB U, Moody knew that, and still went there. I bet you, if he would have stayed it is all possible that he would have been drafted by someone in the NFL. USC demands too much respect for pure talent. Florida isn't a bad choice either, but the are not RB U, but Junior College RB, no disrespect but are gaining on RB U. I hope he doesn't unpack if he doesn't like competition. The talent level is almost the same across both University's. Check out FU's recruits, top 10; everytime I look on Rivals or Scouts they do list a RB every year. Particulary, a speedy type guy, like Joe McKnight or that number 8 fellow, Percy. College is a maturation process, grow and accept your responsibilities. QB meant this sometime ago, or I am old too

There was no way this guy was going to see the field as a quarterback at Missouri. His best bet would have been to take advantage of his size and move to a different position. I wish him the best of luck but I can't say that this something that is going to impact the team.

yeah i have to agree. his only chance of playing was next year after chase is gone but now with the additions of gabbert and blain dalton's signing Tillman's making a good decision. Go to a 1-AA and play a lot. You cant climb the mountain if you dont get the reps and with him as the third stringer behind Chase Patton their really was no chance.
