Shaun Alexander's future remains an unanswered question. Pinning down his present circumstances is a little easier. Alexander was at the Seahawks' headquarters on Tuesday, he's still on the team's roster and he's continuing his recovery from surgery to repair the broken bone in his left wrist.

I don't even know where he would go....WHEN the Seacocks get rid of him.

Worse than that they signed Julius Jones. The worst Starting TB in the NFL.

Agreed, AL. Alexander looks like he's right done, and when I saw that Jones got signed, I said to myself, "well, Seattle just made a brutal move." JOnes is no good, and he'll be proving it this year

It is ironic that the team that signed Jones is one of the few teams that he had good games playing against.

37: took the money and didn't run.

March 12, 2008  08:46 AM ET

I got a bad feeling the Panthers might make a run at him. God I hope not.

March 12, 2008  08:56 AM ET

That was pretty good Fred D, he sure didn't!!

March 12, 2008  09:01 AM ET

I could see Alexander going to the Bears, Texans , or Eagles, although these teams would be better off drafting a RB from this year's rich crop. He's going to have swallow his pride and play for a mere 2-3 million a year though, poor baby!

March 12, 2008  09:27 AM ET

The seahocks signed Julius and TJ. I don't think they plan to have a Three back system. Shauns gone

Why in the worlds would the Eagles take him? 37 is no Westbrook...and we already have a Tony Hunt and a few other soild backs on the team....whay even THINK that the Eagles would want him?

The Raiders could do themselves really well signing Alexander instead of paying their entire salary cap for Darren McFadden.....just saying.

March 12, 2008  09:49 AM ET

I could def see the Bears picking him up.

I always liked Alexander as a person..I wonder if he really stopped trying or got unlucky with the injury bug. Perhaps he just hit that wall...for alot of backs age 30 is the number.

March 12, 2008  09:51 AM ET

Great for the Bears, if they don't overpay. All they have now is a bust and a backup. Pride alone MIGHT get you 2 excellent seasons out of Alexander. Who knows though.

March 12, 2008  09:59 AM ET

He is done like dinner.

Has a fork sticking out of him.

Over rated at best.

Soft at worst.

March 12, 2008  10:19 AM ET

this bearded clam needs to exit the NFL.

March 12, 2008  10:25 AM ET

I could see Tennessee picking him up, too. We have Lendale White and Chris Henry, but Chris Brown is out. I don't want Alexander in TN. He had a great year a couple of years ago, but I didn't see any consistency from him after that. It's like Albert Haynesworth said, "I don't remember Alexander being that good in college." Haynesworth from Tennessee, Alexander at Bama. But then again.... Haynesworth says a LOT of crap.

March 12, 2008  10:38 AM ET

For some strange reason this always happen after a player signs a big contract. It seems like they don't have the same hunger anymore. Hopfully he can rebound and prove alot of people wrong were ever he goes.

March 12, 2008  10:41 AM ET

If he will take 1.5 I would welcome him to the Texans between him and Ahman Green we might get 10 games from them.

March 12, 2008  10:43 AM ET

this bearded clam needs to exit the NFL.

totally jive

That's pretty harsh.

March 12, 2008  10:49 AM ET

Houston need a running back, he would be a good fit there.

March 12, 2008  10:51 AM ET

The Raiders are fine at RB. In Fact, we are giving them away. We got Bush, Rhodes and Fargas. With our improved line, that should be at least 150ypg right there.
