Steelers CB hires Rosenhaus
Posted: Saturday March 15, 2008 08:47AM ET
Cornerback Bryant McFadden was the Steelers' second-round draft pick in 2005. McFadden is entering the final year of his contract and has retained the one and only Drew Rosenhaus to broker a new deal. Be afraid Steelers fans, be very afraid. McFadden's agent change is one of the most important developments facing the Steelers this offseason. Rosenhaus is a squeaky wheel among NFL agents. He has a track record for bringing attention to himself and securing big money for his clients.

Report Offensive CommentThey will just play him this year and next and then let him go. He may not even be a starter on the Steelers. He should be more concerned about his improving his value on the field.

Report Offensive CommentAgreed 50 year...if the guy can't beat out Deshea Townsend then what is his value. Gay should be able to replace him anyway and some someone can be drafted. I'm sure shyster Rosenhaus will get someone to overpay for him....not the Steeler way.

Report Offensive CommentYeah I agree with everyone...McFadden won't get more than the Steelers think he is worth regardless of his agent. Good luck making a lot of money elsewhere!

Report Offensive CommentIn order to get paid large, don't you have to be recognized as a large player? McFadden has proven nothing so far in Steelerland. He wants to leave? Go. We will find other nickel backs in the fourth and fifth rounds of this season's draft.

Report Offensive CommentI hope the Steelers find another CB soon; so, they can tell Rosenhaus & McFadden to kiss off

Report Offensive Commentjoec ..the answer to your question is , No. As long as teams like the Raiders are out there , you can be paid like an all pro and never have done much.

Report Offensive CommentI think its hilarious when a player... (in this case McFadden)... Thinks he is worth... More than he actually is... Guys like Rosenhaus yakking in his ear... Telling him how much he is worth.... Aye yi yi... He can look at it this way... When he is toasted by a WR... Watching him chase that receiver... Will be like him chasing the money he thinks he deserves... In either case... He loses out

Report Offensive CommentAs a steeler fan for 30 years what I dont understand is,why someone like Mcfadden would think we need him. We do need a corner, but we need a #1 corner so Ike can go where he will be best the#2 spot and Deshea the nickel.Ithink a shut down corner would change our defense and give our passrushers more time to get to the quarterback.?Bye Mcfadden Hello New #1 Corner

Report Offensive CommentI love it!! The blowjoe blue collar (over paid union morons) steeler fans will be mired in mediocrity for decades because of Rooney's cheap ways.
Enjoy your superbowl ring that you stole from Seattle because thats the last one your going to see for decades.

The Steelers are one of the smartest organizations in pro sports. 5 Super Bowl championships... with the same owners proves it. Stole? I guess all those years under Cowher at 12-4, 13-3, 15-1 were undeserved to, right? I guess It is fans like you who make sites like this pointless because you bring nothing to the table. If this were poker, you'd have the classic pair of deuces.

Report Offensive Comment"Mired in mediocrity" - he must think mediocrity means "the winningest team since 1969" because thats the facts of the matter. The Steelers have the most wins of any team since the NFL/AFL merger. They have 5 Super Bowl wins, tied with Dallas and San Fran. The only Team to win Back to back SB twice. The youngest QB to win a SB. The only QB with 4 SB wins on his record. The only Coach with 4 SB wins on his record. The most Hall of Fame inductees of any team in the league. And the largest (arguably) fan base in the entire NFL.
Mediocrity is pretty good.

Report Offensive CommentI'm a Browns fan, and I agree with most of the Steeler fans on here... who cares? As long as they can rush the passer and they have Troy Polamalu (definitely top 5 safeties in the NFL) they aren't going to miss this guy at all. He's better than the kid who ran his mouth at the Patriots, but he's barely a quality starter. I'm surprised Rosenhaus wanted him.

Report Offensive CommentDirty Roster is a dumb ****...don't you have to go hunker down while admiring some lovely pictures of livestock right about now?
HumptyRavensfan | 03/16/08, 12:45 AM
Report Offensive Commentahh..I do enjoy a Browns fan with some good football knowledge...kudos to you Yngwie..you guys are looking pretty strong again and are the challenge this year to us for the North title...send old Brian packing...you can't get starting CB $$ if you are a nickelback your whole career. Rivals.com mock draft has the Steelers picking Aqib Talib from Kansas in the first round (I know those mocks are usually different from what actually happens) I would rather see us draft some O line help first and then next year get that CB...so our new $102 million investment doesn't die during the season
BlackandGoldSSgt | 03/16/08, 03:40 AM
Report Offensive CommentHopefully we cantrade down in round one and still get FGuard Albert from Virginia and pickup an extra third. Go OT in second round and pick up a CB or vertically enhanced WR (or saftey to replace the ailing Clark or now-timid Smith). 5 weeks to the draft!!

Report Offensive CommentBig money springs back memories of my high school days. I sacrified for the good of the image of the HS. I did this against all odds. I played like a mad demond. I broke bones and my bones were broken.
I can't remember the subject of my argument.....
