Will Elam leave Broncos?

After a series of contract proposals were exchanged this week, the Broncos and kicker Jason Elam have decided to at least temporarily part ways Elam will visit the Falcons next week. There's a good chance Elam will know Thursday night where he will be employed in 2008.

It's Not!

A big mistake to let him go over a million dollar difference. But then the Broncos seem to be in the business of making big mistakes...A good, dependable kicker is worth it.

Elam is visiting the Falcons? Hmmmm......guess Morten will be out of a job soon. Someone call the AARP for him......age discrimination! LOL

Maybe Shanahan can fire him too

Whereever he goes, I wish him well. I've followed his career since his days at the good ol' University of Hawaii. Good luck whereever you end up Jason.

who cares... he's a kicker

Elam should retire a Bronco...if he doesn't, it is a shame!

The World's Greatest....I bet you cared a lot who the kicker was when the Giants were playing the Packers in that play off game. I know I did. A reliable veteran kicker is worth millions when it comes down to winning or losing a game...Does the name Matt Bahr ring a bell? without him the Giants never get to , or win, the Super bowl in 1990.

Now these are the comments of a man that knows his stuff.

Hmmm, it appears Elam is forgetting one thing, the air in Denver is a little lighter and so therefore, the ball travels further. Perhaps he should stay put.

Report Offensive Comment

Elam might get a "kick" out of free agency !!!

Report Offensive Comment

Consider this. The Broncos have only 12 players on their roster that have been drafted by the team since Shanahan got there in '95. That is by far the lowest number of any team in the NFL. I think it is time the owner put in a GM and told Shanahan to start coaching. His teams have won one of their last five play off games...He is a walking EGO that is quickly losing his credibility.

My uncle will be angry if he signs with the Falcons cause my uncle works at a rec field where Morten kicks field goals.... so i hope Elam stays with Denver

Report Offensive Comment

This could be the Falcons best move in free agency if they pick him up. Thats sad.

50yearfan, you are truly a man that has got the right stuff. I've been trying to say the same thing for many months in my blogs.

Elam would add the leader that the Falcons are looking for,he is a seasond vet and could help with the cemistry of the team

Report Offensive Comment

They should keep him, Elam's ice.

Report Offensive Comment

Losing Elam would be a big mistake for Denver. Look at Lawrence Tynes (Giants) sometimes he gets it and most times he doesn't. Kickers aren't that big in the draft so if they draft a bad kicker, Denver's going to be "kicking" themselves. Who knows if Elam leaves Denver could be drafting the next Tynes.
