The Falcons could be close to trading defensive back DeAngelo Hall to the Raiders for second- and sixth-round picks in the April draft, according to a person close to the negotiations. Hall, who denied the deal was close earlier Saturday, reportedly was in Oakland on Friday to meet with Raiders officials.

The Raiders have been busy this off-season. Their defence really slipped last year. Now if the GrimReaper can end his non-sense with Lane Kiffen, Maybe Oakland can do something in a division which currently consists of San Diego and three weak teams..

Not a bad deal; although I'm not smitten w/ Hall's proclivity for running his mouth, pairing him w/ Asomugha gives the Raiders the best 1-2 CB combo in the NFL.

Hall fits the Raiders mystique.

Another player that I'm glad my Skins didn't succeed in trading for....bring on the draft.

March 16, 2008  10:18 AM ET

Hall and Asomugh will now be one of the top CB combos in the NFL, plus 2nd year player Huff out of Texas last year as safety, this could become a strong point for a very weak Raiders team.. now time to focus on the offense

The Raiders defense could be back to the level it was at a couple years ago with Hall. The front still needs a player like Glenn Dorsey to fill the giant hole (literally) left by Warren Sapp.

Where he'll never be heard from again....

NO NO NO HEll To The NO. This man is a locker romm CANCER and turns a team into thug nation. he was part of the problem in atlanta not part of the solution. i'm sure the owners and coaches told the players not to do anything to embarass the team... and he didn't listen, and "free vick" stunts were pulled. they wanted to be "bad boys" and instead just sucked and got 8itch slapped and he is no leader. And Warrick Dunn PLEASE.... while you were throwning bobby patrino under the bus for leaving and saying he wasn't "treating you like men"? yuo forgot to mention that you wern't acting like men, at least not pros.
i used to respect warrick dunn.
do not bring this guy into Raider Nation.
We like tough guys, not wanna be "me" guys.
Read the article, it's all about him getting his. I don't want this guy anywhere near silver and black no matter what.
Why is Atlanta so ready to get rid of him, and many teams have already passed?
he's a loser who only cares about himself and atlanta knows it that's why.
i'm not hatin', that just the damn truth !

March 16, 2008  10:51 AM ET

off to the Black Hole of Lost Careers with him.

March 16, 2008  10:54 AM ET

by the way, the only 21 in a falcons uniformed that EVER mattered was Dion Sanders.

PARTYPIMP......THUGS???...were do you get that from......I'll give you Halll isnt as great as he think he is.....but what good DB or WR isnt cocky.....i think its a requirement.....but far from a thug.....Becoz he showed love for a team mate...whats wrong with that

The Raiders pick up another bum what a surprise

March 16, 2008  12:15 PM ET

He'll fit right in.

March 16, 2008  12:17 PM ET

Exactly where he belongs...

Hall is going from one dysfunctional team to another. If Hall chooses Oakland over - lets say the Giants for money reasons alone than Hall is a dysfunctional person and will fit right in with the Oakland management.

I think PacMan Jones would be a better fit for Oakland

March 16, 2008  01:09 PM ET

This one makes me REAL nervous... Asomugha is one of the best corners in the League... If he thought they didn't throw his way last year... Wait until this year... Hopefully Hall brings his az... Along with his mouth... He is definitely going to get alot of action... Hopefully he stands up to it... Got my fingers crossed for us on this one
