Pryor down to two schools
Terrelle Pryor carried a state basketball championship trophy as he walked out of the locker room and was mobbed by reporters. But the question hovering around Happy Valley had nothing to do with hoops. The talented Jeannette High School senior said he will decide within a week where he will go to college and play football. It's the latest twist in the saga of one of the most hotly recruited Pennsylvania high school football players in years. The contest was played before 6,000-plus fans at the Bryce Jordan Center on the campus of Penn State University, one of the finalists for Pryor's considerable services. He has said that Ohio State, Michigan and Oregon were also in the mix. On Saturday, he said he was down to two schools, but declined to name them.

OSU and Michigan

It has been obvious for some time that he eliminated both Oregon and Michigan from consideration. He is choosing between Penn State and Ohio State. On one hand, if he chooses Penn State he has a much better chance of graduation with a useful degree. He can play in an offense suited to his skills with the return of the HD spread used during Michael Robinson's senior season. He has the opportunity to play basketball should he wish while remaining close to home (not by much) and make his parents happy. On the other hand, Ohio State, presents many of the same attributes with the exception of a high graduation rate. He would likely be starting by his true sophomore season at either school, both of which are capable of challenging for the Big Ten title now. If he is getting sound guidance, he will select Penn State as the teams are closer than most people realize and he would likely graduate. If not, he could do a heck of lot worse than Ohio State. Either way, he will have a prosperous career. Best of luck.

Before people start coming on here bashing that this kid is taking too long, realize that he PLAYS BASKETBALL!
-He Felt is wasn't fair to his team to skip games in order to go visit schools
-He also didn't feel right about taking visits on his off days and rushing around a school.
As for who he will be picking INCSOC has it dead on, Michigan and Oregon have been out of the running for a while, this is between Penn State and Ohio State.

They don't have "useful" degrees at OSU?
Some of you Penn State fans are a real riot.

I agree with the idea that it is between Penn State and Ohio State...I think he realize long ago Rich Rod is an **** and playing for him would be a mistake! I think the only reason Oregon is on the list is because he wants to give the Pac 10 some love!

ok, im sick of all these penn state people trying to hold themselves above everyone else in the big ten. it's time to quit being so pretentious and realize that penn state is just another state school. if there is a difference in academics it's marginal.
secondly, pryor would have a better chnace to flourish at ohio state. with the insane o-line tressel brought in he's going to have all the protection in the world, not to mention two great backs (not including wells) and some serious talent at reciever. ohio state is flat out a better football program.
pryor is going to do well no matter where he goes but if he chooses ohio state there will be a better chance for him to maximize his abilities with all the talent around him.

I have lived in Penn State country a long time. Sit in a room with a few Penn State fans and they spew on & on about how Penn State has the greatest school, fans, stadium, acedemics, coaching, conference, uniforms, band, vendors, streetlights & trash cans. Penn State fans are almost as bad as Notre Dame fans when it comes to believing that the rest of the world is simply inferior to anything they are.

Last Call is is a little detached from reality. I wonder if he has actually looked at Ohio State's graduation rate? Probably not. It is too inconvenient to trouble with. As for the comment about Penn State fans, you are confusing white and blue for maize and blue. Check your weed, I think it may be laced with something.

by the way ohio state's grad rate is from john cooper's years look it up before you make yourself look like an idiot. they don't have the numbers yet for tressel's teams but they are much better. plus penn state doesn't put nearly as many players in the NFL and they often leave early to do so. So you can make the arguement that we actually put MORE of our football players into the professional world.

I am a little curious here... This guy is one of the top rated players in the country... And he said he didn't want to "rush' his decision... My guess is... He didn't wake up one day his Sr year... And become highly rated... Did he not take any trips... Or do anything over the last two years... To help him decide which school he wants to attend???... Someone help me out over here

OSU right now is the best suited for Pryor. They have an insasnely talent class coming in they have the pieces and a new O-cordinator who could implement the spread offense from day one to help Pryor.

I can't imagine that he is choosing PSU at this point. They worried me before, but notice that he never made the official visit to Oregon, and now will not if he sticks to this "within a week" idea (doubtful). He hasn't had great things to say about PSU, and I think he is just being mindful of his father by giving them a chance.
This was down to OSU and Michigan, and Pryor decided on OSU. His Dad didn't think he was giving PSU enough attention. When its all said and done, Pryor has made strong friendships with incoming OSU recruits.
Going to PSU wouldn't make much sense. They don't produce quality NFL offensive draft products. INCSOC makes a moronic point; Pryor isn't interested in graduation rates, he wants to play in the NFL and make hundreds of millions. A communications degree from PSU ain't gonna do that.

All this anticipation surrounding his decison is something else. It'd be hilarious if he turned out to be a bust. I've seen him play, his passing skills are weak, but he is strong and has great speed. I don't see how he's so much better than recent quarterback classes, though.

You made the moronic comment that Pryor would get a more "useful" degree at PSU. Do you mean like that ever challenging Parks & Tourism sheepskin your genious QB, Anthony Moronelli will get inbetween losses to Michigan & OSU?
And no...not confusing the "We are Penn State" crowd with anybody.
