Expert: Pryor to OSU or Michigan

Terrelle Pryor, the nation's No. 1 football recruit, told reporters after winning the Pennsylvania Class AA title Saturday that he had narrowed his college choices down to two schools and will make his decision by the end of the week. What two schools is he down to, though? Ohio State is a safe bet since it has been in the picture since day one, but is the second team Penn State or Michigan? Rivals.com's National Recruiting Analyst Mike Farrell made his best guess at who Pryor's final two schools are. "To me, it's Ohio State and Michigan," Farrell said. "Had he eliminated Penn State before the basketball title game in State College, things could have gotten a little ugly or at least distracted the basketball team. There could have been some signs, some hecklers, just some general distractions that he didn't want. I also don't think he has ever wanted to disrespect Penn State in any way. Some of the things he's said about Penn State like not liking the area and such, that's just who he is ??? he's honest and tells it like it is. He loves coach Tom Bradley and has great respect for Joe Paterno, he's always said that. I know he really wanted to win the state title and didn't want his football issues to get in the way of things for his basketball teammates."

I thought he was going to sign with OSU but delayed his decision because his dad liked Penn State?

If he doesn't like State College, how can he like Ann Arbor? Sign with OSU buddy.

This kid...I hope he's able to live up to all the hype that's being given to him.

March 18, 2008  08:19 AM ET

I heard yesterday on Colin Cowherd that he heard from a reliable source that Terrell WILL be going to The Ohio State University and will make the annoucement later this week. Can't wait to hear the actual announcement. Great decision by Terrell. GO BUCKS!!!

I think he will play for Ohio State. We have 2 good QB's at Penn State. I think the school this hurts the most is Michigan.

March 18, 2008  08:47 AM ET

How about Oregon. He kept them on the table but never went for a visit, that's not cool.

March 18, 2008  08:50 AM ET

If he wants to go to a school who lacks in academics, he will go up North.. If not, he will go to the Bucks!!!!

March 18, 2008  09:05 AM ET

go to osu! please...

March 18, 2008  09:13 AM ET

Who cares?

March 18, 2008  09:20 AM ET

Who cares? Just about everyone..... Jealous??????

March 18, 2008  09:51 AM ET

make the decision already.....this guy a drama queen or what??

March 18, 2008  10:15 AM ET

Rich R. was banking on him coming to UM - running off Mallett - Thank You very much!

March 18, 2008  10:22 AM ET

Don't worry Worthless Nut fans, TP will become part of the OSU tradition of pi$$ing all over Columbus and taking dumps in styrofoam coolers on game day. Congrats on the pick up.

March 18, 2008  10:27 AM ET

I will pray that Pryor will brake his leg and never play football again.

March 18, 2008  10:28 AM ET

"3rd and 4 for the buckeyes, 3:45 left in the third quarter... Pryor back to throw, he's surveying the field.... still surveying... got a man wide open but he doesn't see him... still looking, what's he doing? Still looking, now looks flushed... still looking... oh my god what is he doing... he pumps, now runs the other way, now reverses course! Running towards the sideline with his hands held out... what's he looking for? He doesn't know what to do! Now takes off and, wait, oh no, he stepped out of bounds! That's a loss of 17 folks! What took him so long back there? He had all day to pull the trigger but just didn't know what he wanted to do with the ball."

Can't wait.

he's not going to singlehandedly carry either team to a championship, nor will he going to stay around long enough such that he is concerned with realtive academic superiority -- these overhyped young talented players are simple pawns in the money game referenced in the NCAA 'ticket' item earlier in the T&R section -- it's not about education -- what's the current credit card commercial say -- 'I want it all and I want it now' --

March 18, 2008  11:02 AM ET

Typical Michigan fan, you wanted him more than your first born. Now that he makes an intelligent decision you begin your two year old mantality that you are so known for. PATHETIC!!!!
GO BUCKEYES.....

March 18, 2008  11:12 AM ET

How long ago was signing day?

March 18, 2008  11:22 AM ET

Does this story really need an expert? I'm no expert but we all already knew it would be OSU and Michigan.

Like I have said for about a million times already, I hope it's Michigan but it's going to be OSU.

March 18, 2008  11:31 AM ET

Let's be realistic here. OSU was always the team for Pryor. Michigan only surfaced once RR came to the school and he had to play serious catch up. The only reason UM is being mentioned is because it's a bitter rival to OSU and makes for great copy. For just a short time I thought UM might have a shot and that was early on. But the more I read about TP and realized he says a lot of things but doesn't come through I knew he'd be a Buckeye.

I truly do not want him on UM's team because I think, in the end, he becomes a distraction. Besides, he's perfect for OSU. He even looks like a Buckeye. Goofy looking and devious. But hey, he is a special talent and I do hope he lives up to some of the hype.

MajorBucksfan - just so we're clear: there were Michigan fans who wanted Pryor badly. I was definitely never one of them. I could care less whether you want to believe me or not, but no way do I want our program to get involved with a kid like this. This guy's already the very definition of a thug. How many fights has he been in in the past month alone? Who owns the Corvette he's driving? How much is it going to take to move his family to the area?

Furthermore, who really cares if some of those fans did want him at Michigan now change their mind. The guy took two years to get into his own recruiting process and is simply walking around looking for the highest bidder. This is information that maybe those fans didn't have 3-4 months ago. But important information, none the less.

I don't know why I bother responding. You talk about my two-year-old "MANTALITY"... hahaha. This guy will fit right in in c-bus.
