Jets pay visit to McFadden

The Jets, who have the sixth pick overall in next month's NFL draft, flew a contingent of team representatives to Fayetteville, Ark., yesterday to meet with former Razorbacks running back Darren McFadden, according to someone with knowledge of the visit. McFadden, who rushed for 1,830 yards and 16 touchdowns last season, is considered the top player in the draft by many draft experts and there's a chance he won't be there when the Jets pick. He was clocked at a blazing 4.33 seconds in the 40-yard dash at the NFL Scouting Combine last month. Nonetheless, the Jets are doing their homework just in case.

These prospects are over hyped. There are few nine foot tall supermen. But there was Elway, Manning...maybe the JETS fans should be paying attention!

Right, Loki he could get drafted by a successful franchise like the Raiders or Falcons.

I hope the Jets pass on McFadden and go with a bigger need. Leon Washington and Thomas Jones are going to kill it behind that upgraded O-Line. Sheesh, I could probably run for 1000 yards in that offense.

The Jets? Yeah and kill a career that hasn't begun...

If I was McFadden, I'd "take a dive" while the Jests were visiting!

Thats a riot!!! If he is available, the JETS should take him, there are plenty of women in NY for him to knock up...

Fatman, he will be making millions he can afford to take care of them. I think they might take him, but like other posters I think they need to improve their line, jones has two or three productive seasons left.

In other news, Darren McFadden has announced he will not sign with a team that will have less wins than he has children, so that leaves out the Jets.

McFadden, hearing about the visit by the Jets, used his blazing 4.33 speed and hightailed it out of town until the Jets left.

Does this mean we might see some happy Jets fans, in live action at the draft? This is a disaster! One of the highlights of the year for me is seeing the all positive Jets karma sucked right out of the building after their pick is announced. It's unwritable comedy. You can't take this away from us!!

Good Point! If the JETS cant make the news for winning football games, off-field drama is just as good, Shawn Kamp and Travis Henry have nothing on this guy...except about 3 basketball teams between them...

A rotten childhood inspired me, some say.
