Missouri LB kicked off team

Marquis Booker -- a reserve Missouri linebacker arrested on a felony gun charge -- has been kicked off the Missouri football team. Chad Moller, MU assistant athletic director and sports information director, said that will be confirmed following the conclusion of today's spring football practice by coach Gary Pinkel. Moller said no suspension was anticipated for Jeremy Maclin and Sean Weatherspoon, MU starters who were interviewed by police on Sunday but were not detained. Booker was arrested by police shortly after 4 a.m. Sunday following an incident in which he reportedly brandished a 9 mm handgun during an argument outside the Gateway of Columbia apartments.

What an idiot! Maclin and Weatherspoon are just as bad for hanging around this ****. If Booker would'nt have claimed the gun our best offensive weapon and our best linebacker would have been off the team as well. I hope Pinkel runs these two into the ground for this lack of judgement and makes an example of them.

Another story of ethics in coaching this Spring! I hope the Mizzou coach would have had the same standards had it been a starter.

my sentiment exactly, although it would pain me i think the best thing may be to suspend them for the first game.... which is against Illinois.

well actually hes the second strong side linebacker on the roster so he would deffinately had gotten some time this year, and was only a sophomore so its not like he was the last man on the roster.

They should sit out for 3 games. That will send a message.
