A single visit to Stanford was all it took for Lassiter (Ga.) offensive lineman Camden Wentz to realize he'll be calling the Cardinal's campus his home for the next four years, beginning in 2009. Other schools in the mix were Vanderbilt, Wake Forest and Georgia Tech.

Must be a smart kid but how good is he on the field?

March 21, 2008  09:40 AM ET

If he is not "real good" on the field, he definitely is in a very ggod place for a very good education.

def got the hell out of the south as soon as he could

Who's the puttz who wrote this??
It's the Stanford Cardinal
NOT Cardinal's, it's never plural.

March 21, 2008  02:37 PM ET

Whatever, this is a college football discussion, where Stanford is largely non-existent.

So true So very True

Stanford indeed. An excellent school -- an excellent school for an ultra-liberal education (assuming one doesn't major in something apolitical)!

I'm confused? I thought were stupid like the rest of us.

Elway graduated 132 years ago. "The band is on the field, the band is on the field" is overplayed. All I ask is that Stanford expose the overrated PAC=10 teams once a year and you can continue to be included in major conference NCAA football discussions.

March 23, 2008  01:26 PM ET

At least Stanford can beat USC every now and then. Something SEC teams havent done this decade.

Im still amazed that Arkansas can come to Cali and give up 70 points to SC and really expect Pac 10 fans to take them seriously! WOW SEC SPEED and DEFENSE!! LOL
