Red Wings star out 3-6 weeks
Just as the Red Wings' second pairing on defense had jelled, it has come undone by an injury to newcomer Brad Stuart. General manager Ken Holland said Thursday that Stuart will be out anywhere from three to six weeks because of a non-displaced fracture to a finger; Holland wouldn't disclose which one. The Wings are hoping to see Stuart, acquired Feb. 26 from Los Angeles, return closer to the three-week minimum required to heal such injuries, as that would make Stuart available during the first round of the playoffs.

As long as he's back for the playoffs. They had some young d-men called up from Grand Rapids, and some of them played well. No worries.

bostongm.....There is a big difference between losing Lidstrom, one of the top three defenseman to ever play, and losing one of the rags Boston lost this year. Did Cam Neeley come back and get hurt and I missed it? Half of the Bruins that went out this year wouldn't even be a 3th liner on the Wings. Cleary, Homer, Lidstrom, Hasek, Zetterberg, Kronwall, Rafalski, Chelios, Draper.........on and on.
Lets compare apples to apples, not apples to lemons.

The only complaining you'll be doing is when the Pistons take out your beloved Celtics in the playoffs!

Every guy the Bruins lost is a average NHL'er AT BEST. O.K., Chara is really tall too (lol). I got news for you, the Bruins suck even when healthy. You should re-read your first post when talking about who needs to "take a pill. "buddy." I know you didn't sleep with my mother. I'm not so sure about my brother though.

Bostongm.....I don't know if you are lumping me in as a (supposed) bandwagon fan or not. If so let me refute that. I sat in Olympia Stadium in 1976(ish) and watched the Wings and the Habs play in front of about 2,000 people. I also saw the Pistons and Michigan Stags (WHL) play in Cobo Arena. My first Tiger game was in 1971, with Joe Coleman pitching for the Tigers. Lastly, my first Lions game was in 1974(ish) at Tiger Stadium.
Actually Boston is my second favorite sports town. When we were there several years ago I went to tour the Garden and Fenway before I set foot on the Freedom Trail. I have a brick from the Garden in my basement and I would love the buy a seat from the Garden also. Any extras?
