This guy was worhtless in Boston and worthless in Miami. What possessed the Timberwolves to ever add him to their roster?

He wasn't bad in Boston. I just didn't understand why he didn't post more. He was fair to bad in Miami and he has never been able to guard a chair.

if he is so terrible, why try to hold the guy hostage..you mean to tell me that they would rather pay a guy 8.5 mill but not play him just to show him who's the boss?....you could sign two decent, hungry players for that money....and you wonder why the wolves are a terrible franchise with a loser mentality

I agree with SoFlaBoy. Walker can shoot, but can't defend. He was luck to have a center to cover up with defensive mishaps. Luckily for him he had a long term contract or else he would now be playing ball overseas.

I just fell victim to corporate cutbacks, I'll sit on Minnesota's bench for $80K a year. Will appreciate medical benefits.

i know Walker sucks & he was overweight by eating that lemon marian pie & cut dismissed from my Heaters in a trade but no matter how u diss him he gets 8.5 mil a year 2 bench & he has a championship ring.
I wouldnt complain if I were Walker I would suck up the money i wish somebody paid me 8.5 mil 2 sit down.

He is overweight, bad at free throws, and he is getting old. I don't understand why they want him. Just get rid of him by buying him out. He is probably giving his teammates the impression they can be overweight and still be a member of the team, he is not a good role model for these young guys.

I will be available to sit on the bench for 2 million next season and if you want I will even be the ball boy and water boy. If you give me an extra million I might think about being the guy who wipes the floor down after a basket. Let me T-Wolves...I'm very interested!!

He's overweight, out of shape, and doesn't play defense. Sounds like a guy that belongs on the bench to me. I wouldn't give him 5 or 6 million in parting gifts either.

Walker had a nice run with Pierce one year in the Leastern Conference finals and hit some big threes for Miami, but he does NOT do defense. The question is, who is this hurting? Not 'Toine, who will be happy to have the best seat in the house and get paid for it.

if walker is so upset with not playing while earning 8.5M for this and next year. he should go to management and ask for his release without a buyout and we'll see how much he makes on the open market.

He had some talent back in the Boston days, and was a decent supporting cog his first Miami season, but he didn't have that much in the tank. Plus, as we've seen in the handling of the KG years and trade, Glen Taylor is a fool of the highest order.

Yeah, dude, we know you want to play. But maybe you'll get traded, and if not, you've only got one more year on your contract, and you can go to someplace and team that doesn't suck to a ridiculous extent.

Plus, in the meantime you get paid 8.5 mil a year to practice and shoot hoops. Put it in perspective, OK? It could be a lot worse.

this just shows you how stupid Glen Taylor and Kevin Mchale is. Antoine Walker is still better than those other player in Minnesota in exception of that power forward they got from the trade in Boston. Whats his name again?

Walker is overweight and lazy. He doesn't hussle and he's horrible on both ends of the court. Heaven knows why this team picked him up. I think McHale is in a competition with Isaiah, Paxson and Bird to see who can run their franchises into the ground the quickest.

Why not trade him next season to a contender (who may blindly believe he can help them...e.g. Dallas) in exchange for a veteran w/ an expring contract PLUS draft pick/s.
