Rutgers lands big commitment
Rutgers coach Fred Hill sent shock waves through the Big East Monday night when he received a commitment from 6-9, 260-pound junior center Greg Echenique of St. Benedict's of Newark, who is arguably the best low-post prospect on the East Coast. Echenique chose the Scarlet Knights over Pitt, Notre Dame, Duke, Villanova, Memphis, Florida and Penn. The Scarlet Knights also got a commitment from 6-6 junior forward Austin Johnson of Blair Academy in New Jersey.

Good job Fred Hill. His coaching is suspect but he can recruit.

Plenty of talent in the area, the more he can tap into it the better.

Glad he didn't go to Dookie. That school should burn to the ground for what it did to their LAX players.
