Rutgers coach Fred Hill sent shock waves through the Big East Monday night when he received a commitment from 6-9, 260-pound junior center Greg Echenique of St. Benedict's of Newark, who is arguably the best low-post prospect on the East Coast. Echenique chose the Scarlet Knights over Pitt, Notre Dame, Duke, Villanova, Memphis, Florida and Penn. The Scarlet Knights also got a commitment from 6-6 junior forward Austin Johnson of Blair Academy in New Jersey.

I'm shocked too because I've never heard of the guy! Which NCAA bracket is he playing in? Maybe they can do the next story on Cal State San Luis Obispo's basketball program.....

Glad he didn't go to Dookie. That school should burn to the ground for what it did to their LAX players.
